When the standard image of a wizard first appears in the character editor, I want to take a lot of air into my chest and shout - “You will not pass!”. The resemblance to the venerable Gandalf is simply unique. But the creators approached the female model of this character without resorting to folklore analogies (people will not understand evil grannies) - a first-year student at the Higher School of Magic :) Since there is no difference in the mechanics of the female and male characters before the awakening of the weapon, here they are considered as one Class.

What is a wizard / sorceress in Black Desert?

  • First, it's a damage dealer, and a very good damage dealer that can inject kilotons of damage from a distance, both on a single target and in an area.
  • Secondly, the presence in the wizard's arsenal of skills to support and strengthen allies can position him as a support in party farming or in mass PvP. The choice of path depends on the player and it will also affect the leveling strategy.

Advantages and disadvantages

At first, the wizard is quite simple to control despite the variety of skills. With the development of the character, difficulties may begin, but they are solved by choosing individual tactics and training (mobs and the arena to help).

The first thing to remember is the cast! Almost all offensive skills have a relatively low casting speed, which naturally affects the character's mobility and survivability. Therefore, the main problem of wizards and sorceresses: where else to snatch another bonus to the casting speed. It is also always worth using the features of the terrain wisely in battle.

Having exorbitant attack indicators, the wizard is "cardboard", i.e. almost no protection. In this he is somewhat similar to an archer. And if we compare these two classes, we get the following picture. Having more favorable area damage indicators (AoE skills), which is very useful in mass farming or mass PvP, representatives of the magic school lose in mobility and speed to those from the “firstborn” people, despite the presence of blinks and teleportation skills in the arsenal of wizards.

And lastly, using the character as a full-fledged support is inappropriate, no matter what the opponents of this opinion would argue. If in group farming the use of support and resurrection skills is still justified, then in a mass batch there will hardly be time for this. It will be more profitable to use a couple of lethal skills to finish off the enemy.

Wizard Skills

Proper buildup of skills is half the key to the successful development of any character, and the wizard is no exception. Experienced players advise developing combat abilities first, and then paying attention to support skills. Below are descriptions of wizard/sorceress skills and their usefulness in a build with that said.

Basic Skills

  1. Staff attack. Using it makes the same sense as banging a bat on an armored personnel carrier. The description states that the skill restores mana, but this is such a meager indicator that you should not pay attention to it.
  2. The memory of a sage. A very useful skill - allows you to use any skills instantly for 15 seconds and cover the enemy with spells at the speed of a machine gun. The cooldown of 3.5 minutes does not detract from the dignity of this skill. Learning is a must.
  3. Magic arrow. Well, where without this skill for magicians in any RPG. A classic charge of magical energy flying at the enemy. Small damage is balanced by instant cast (can be used on the run) and massive damage, as well as a nice bun at the last level of the skill (see below). One of the most used skills in farming. Download to the maximum.
  4. City of arrows. The same bun of the final development of the Magic Arrow. A significant increase in damage and a 100% chance of a critical strike say one thing: skill points are a must!
  5. Accurate shot. A swarm of magic arrows rushing towards the enemy. The low damage output with a very long cast makes this skill useless. Tip: ignore.
  6. Fire ball. Also a canonical skill for all kinds of wizards, roughly speaking, a fireball. The skill is not popular due to low damage and long animation (there is a trick: to throw off the animation, you need to press RMB - useful in combos). But it is worth developing it to the limit to get the next skill.
  7. Directional explosion. Becomes available after researching the last level of the Fireball. High damage and a DOT (periodic damage) hanging on the enemy at 175 damage per 15 seconds make this skill one of the most useful in character buildup. Definitely download.
  8. Meteor falling. This is a grandiose skill both in terms of animation and damage. A huge meteorite crashes into the ground at great speed, and then it explodes, clouding the screen with earth and dust raised into the air. By the way, after that, the wizard often listens to the obscene angry statements of the melee, who lose sight of the enemy in this bacchanalia :) Requires 200% of the wrath of the black spirit, which causes such an animation and frenzied damage, which is also supplemented by a pillbox of 300 HP in 18 seconds. Developing the skill not only increases the damage, but also reduces the rollback. Teach and teach again.
  9. Sting. Probably the only wizard melee skill that has any use. The reason for this, of course, is not damage (well, this is not serious), but a high probability of driving the enemy into a stun for the time it takes to jump to the side. Therefore, it makes no sense to develop it beyond the first level.
  10. Evasion magic. The same blink. One of the skills that allows the wizard to live in battle. It has many levels of development and at the maximum allows you to jump across the battlefield, like a grasshopper. There is only one verdict: pump to the limit.
  11. Teleportation. This is the second skill that increases the character's survivability. Allows you to teleport in the direction of the wizard's gaze at a fairly decent distance and, which is very important, makes him invulnerable during the cast. So a skill applied in time more than once can save you from being sent for rebirth. At the last level, the skill has a cooldown of 7 seconds, so learn to the last.
  12. Magic shield. A useful skill that increases all types of resistance by 15% for 30 seconds, though it takes 40% of mana instead of the same amount of damage for the same time. When used at the right moment more than once, it can save a character's life. At the initial stages it is not of particular importance, but in the future it is very useful. Learn when there are free skillpoints.
  13. Renaissance. One of the skills that speaks about the support component of the wizard is that it resurrects allies. Developing the skill reduces the cooldown and increases the percentage of health of the resurrected ally. As it opens, you can learn the 1st level, you should increase the skill level if you have free skill points.
  14. MP absorption. The name speaks for itself: it allows you to restore mana at the expense of the health of the enemy. The damage is low, but in addition to it, it hangs a debuff on the enemy in the form of a speed reduced by half for 4 seconds. The first, maximum second level is enough to stably restore mana reserves.
  15. Lightning chain. The main skill for single PvP fights, farming and mass PvP is useless. Its main features are: 100% hit on the target, regardless of the enemy's evasiveness, and reducing the enemy's movement speed to 60%. If there is a desire to refute all statements about the failure of the wizard in solo PvP, the skill is recommended for learning to the maximum level.
  16. Thunderstorm. The skill is the end of the combo with the previous skill.
  17. Lightning strike. It has a branch "Residual charge". Ultimate combined with 100% Black Spirit's Rage. Definitely download both branches to the limit, because. the skill is simply indispensable in farming, and in mass-PvP it can present a lot of surprises to the enemy, especially as an ult. In addition to excellent damage and a high critical strike chance, it grants a 60% movement speed debuff.
  18. Freeze. It is an ice ball that freezes a single target. Rarely used, so teaching beyond the first level is impractical.
  19. Frost cloud. It differs from the previous skill only in mass. Consider only 1 level.
  20. Ice storm. Covers a huge area with painfully beating ice fragments. Ideal for mass pvp. Learn as much as possible as quickly as possible.
  21. Acceleration. A support skill that, at the last level of development, increases the speed of movement, attack and application of skills by 20% for all allies for 30 seconds, with a cooldown of 50. In principle, a wizard can be taken into a group only because of this skill :) Naturally, push to the limit.
  22. Earthquake. Larger control skill, it knocks down all enemies in range and can deal a lot of damage. This skill should be seriously developed after level 55, before that 2 levels are enough.
  23. Earth strike. Jump to the side, followed by damage. Essentially a melee skill. Invest if you have nowhere to put your skill points.
  24. Aura of protection. Another support skill. Significantly increases (at the last level) the entire group for 8 seconds, all resistances, except for the capture. You need to develop, but after pumping all the basic combat skills.
  25. Healing energy. At max level, instantly heal yourself and the whole group by 20% on a 10 second cooldown. The usefulness is difficult to overestimate. Learn to the max.
  26. The Light of Healing. Periodically restore your own health (up to 30%) and the health of allies (up to 20%), as well as your mana (up to 150 points) per wave. There are three waves in total. Minus: the wizard casts all three waves and is vulnerable at the same time. Push to the limit.
  27. Power heart. The skill summons an orb that regenerates mana. 200 mana for 10 minutes at the last level is nothing. The only plus is a 10% increase in movement speed for the duration of the ball. Learn if everything is already learned :)
  28. Projection. Another useless ball that can lure mobs.
  29. Spiritual endurance. A passive that, mind you, increases the casting speed of skills (casting speed, Carl, casting speed!). Teach whenever possible.

Awakening

If we talk about awakening, then the main task will be to catch the bonus to the casting speed on the main combat skills. Restoring mana and health per hit is also a good option, but casting is a priority.

Equipment

The second half of success, of course, is the right equipment. Below are recommendations for its selection.

Weapon

At the beginning of the path, the choice of the main weapon for the wizard is limited to two options: Yuria and Asvol. But Yuria is still a priority, due to the greater basic attack, Asvol is more positioned as a weapon for PvP. The next stage will be Liberta, then Kzarka, and then how it goes. If we talk about additional weapons, then here you need to decide what is more needed: accuracy or damage. In the first case, it will be a Bronze dagger, in the second - a steel one. In the future, you need to purchase or knock out the Nouver dagger.

Armor

At the initial stage, as a “cheap and cheerful” option, you can use the Ajeri + Jeres or Ajeri + Taritas sets. Ajeri's three items (helmet, body, and gloves) will give +100 health increase, +2 attack speed, and most importantly, +2 skill speed. Jeres or Taritas boots will increase stamina or dodge respectively. Do not get carried away with her point, because it should be changed at the first opportunity to Grunil. The Grunil set will increase attack and health (+5 to attack and + 150 to HP), will make it possible to insert two inlay stones into each element of the set. And, of course, then you should get the boss set by all available means.

Bijouterie

The choice of jewelry is influenced by the need to raise one or another characteristic. But in the beginning, you won’t turn around too much: the necklace, belt, earrings and Pares rings - this gives a decent increase in attack. After level 50, jewelry should be updated:

  • necklace of predecessors or ogres;
  • elite belt of rathams or belt of the ancient spirit;
  • sealed charm earrings, witch jewelry, or red coral earrings;
  • Rings of Sealed Spell, Token of Shadow, Ring of Ancestors, or Rings of Red Coral.

Inlay stones

When choosing inlay stones, it should be remembered that the casting speed, the chance of a critical strike and the amount of mana are important to the wizard. Based on this, the choice of stones should be as follows:

  • Helm: two Amethysts (Skill Speed).
  • Body: two Eoliths (Energy).
  • Gloves: two Ambers (Crit. hit).
  • Boots: Malachite (Stamina) and/or Malachite (Speed).
  • Primary Weapon: Grenade (Attack Power).
  • Secondary Weapon: Human Grenade (Damage).

What is the higher grade of the stone? the greater the gain will be. For example, Garnet I (Attack Strength) gives +1 to attack, here Valuable Garnet III (Attack Strength) is already +5.

Outcome

He is a magician and a magician in Africa: terribly damaged and terribly cardboard. In Black Desert, the class turned out to be multifaceted and very interesting. If you like magic, but the speed of the sorceress begins to ripple in your eyes - the wizard is the best choice. And even though dueling is far from the strong point of this class, he feels great in farming, both single and in a group, and in mass battles, sending most of the biblical punishments on the heads of enemies.

Hello to all regular readers of our blog and those who looked at us for the first time. No one will argue with the fact that, along with warriors and shooters, online-RPGs simply must have characters whose main weapon is magic. One of the most popular online games of our time, Black Desert, was no exception in this regard.

Our today's guide is dedicated to a class that appeared in the virtual universe of the database one of the last. And he wears a fairly simple and understandable name - a wizard. True, the players have already dubbed him a wizard and even Gandalf (which is not surprising, the similarity is obvious).

To properly qualify this class, you need to understand its features. On the one hand, this is a master of ranged combat, inflicting unrealistic damage to both individual targets and large groups of enemies. On the other hand, the wizard in Black Desert can also act as a support, because in his arsenal there are several useful spells, the effect of which extends to allies in mass pvp. Watch the video:

Each player is free to choose which of these functions is a priority for him. First of all, the order of pumping skills will depend on the tactics of the game. But more on that later. In the meantime, let's figure out who the wizard is, and what is his uniqueness.

M or F

In the company of a magician, a female version of this class was also introduced in Black Desert, namely, a sorceress. We would dedicate a separate guide to it, as it was with the pairs: and, and. However, in this situation it just doesn't make sense.

The only difference between a wizard and a sorceress is their gender. And maybe the age group. If the sorceress is a pretty, fragile girl, then the wizard is a bearded, gray-haired old man in a wide-brimmed hat.

Apparently, the developers decided not to bother with creating different builds and highlighting distinctive features. All the tips that we give in this article for the wizard apply to the sorceress. Without any exceptions.

Combat characteristics

Despite the large number of working skills and a variety of combat tactics, the wizard cannot be called a difficult character to control. At the initial levels, managing it will not cause any problems. Difficulties will arise a little later, but they will be easy enough to deal with with a little practice.

To control a wizard, you need to understand the essence of this class. Learn his skills, try them in battles with mobs and other players and choose the tactics that will be convenient for you and will allow you to get the most out of your character.

There are three important things to know about the wizard:

Firstly, the battle for the wizard is a long, non-stop cast. While you are casting the spell, you can be killed ten times by the faster inhabitants of the game world. Therefore, learn to hide and try to snatch the bonus to the speed of the use of skills wherever you can.

Secondly, of all classes, the wizard is most similar to . He has very high damage and weak defense.

The advantageous difference from the archer is that the wizard can successfully attack large groups of enemies with a 100% crit chance. He has a lot more strong AoE skills, which makes him an invaluable team member in mass pvp. And the main disadvantage in comparison with the beautiful elf armed with a bow is low mobility. The wizard build has a teleporter and blinks, but you still won’t be able to quickly move around the map with their help.

And thirdly, contrary to the advice from numerous guides, the wizard is not a support. It can perform this function in some situations, but its main purpose is to deal damage and massive attacks. In a fierce battle, spending time and the potential of a wizard on healing and resurrection, when you can eliminate the threat itself with one swing of the staff, is simply stupid.

The simplest and most enjoyable for a wizard is PvE. Collect mobs in a bunch and hit them with massive spells. It is also desirable to acquire a horse that can move not only forward and backward, but also sideways.

In battles with bosses, you need to dodge blows and attack from a distance. The Magic Arrow skill is great for this. Also useful will be "Snowstorm" and "Earthquake".

In mass PvP, take an advantageous position, keep enemies at a distance and use controls, which the wizard has a lot of. As soon as the opponents gather in a heap, unleash a series of powerful spells on them. Spend your free time helping your allies.

It is extremely difficult for a wizard to fight in solo pvp. In terms of survivability, he is one of the weakest classes. Any mistake can be fatal. If you can somehow run away from a warrior or a Valkyrie and shoot with attacking spells from a safe distance, then a meeting with some one will almost certainly end sadly.

However, there is another option to quietly sneak up from behind. But this is for fans of extreme entertainment.

Weapons and equipment

The wizard can be attributed to classes that reveal their potential only if they have good gear. Therefore, getting the right equipment for him is one of the top priorities.

In the early stages, for lack of a better option, you can put on the Ajeri set, which will quickly and cheaply increase the casting speed. As an option - a combination of three things with boots from another set. Here is your choice: Jeres will give a bonus to stamina (useful for blinks), Taritas - dodge.

Sharpening this equipment to the limit is not worth it, because at the first opportunity you will change it for another.

A more comfortable option for a wizard is the Grunil set. It costs more, but the costs will be justified. Firstly, it will give a good increase in attack (and HP, which will not be superfluous either), and secondly, you will get two slots for stones in each item.

When filling them out, it is important to remember that the wizard, first of all, needs to pump three stats: the speed of applying skills, crit and the maximum value of mana.

The latter is important, since spell damage directly depends on this indicator. So, you insert two crit stones into gloves, into a helmet - two stones for the speed of skills, into armor - 100 hp + bonus to carry weight (also - 2 pcs.), In offhand it is better to immediately put a health stone for +100 hp and +5 attacks, into the main weapon +5 to attack or an improved stone that additionally gives damage to people.

The choice of weapons depends on the armor. It is clear that at first nothing will shine for you except for the staff of Yuri or Asvol. The first thing to think about is getting the Liberto weapon, then the Kzarka. However, here everything is as usual. Complete with all of the above options, use offhand for accuracy. If you manage to disperse this indicator with the help of jewelry, take a dagger to attack.

What is really worth striving for is the boss set. First of all, Bheg's bracers are interesting, which increase accuracy. With absolute probability, they will allow you to abandon the offhand for accuracy and increase the attack. Also, the Red Nose Armor (and ideally, the Giant Treant Armor), which gives +100 to the maximum mana value, will be extremely useful for the wizard.

Skill leveling

And now we move on to the most interesting. The correct build for the wizard, as well as for any other class, is already half the battle. Since, in our understanding, a wizard is still a dps, we offer a build that reveals, first of all, its combat potential, and only then - support functions.

1. Staff attack - normal auto attack. Senseless and useless. Download last, when there is absolutely nothing to do.

2. Sage's Memory is a useful buff that allows you to use skills without a long and tedious cast. While the skill is active, the wizard can bombard the enemy with a hail of spells even before he has time to come to his senses. A must to study.

3. Magic arrow - a standard skill present in the arsenal of most magicians in RPGs. The wizard releases a bolt of energy from the staff, directing it towards enemies. The advantage is that the skill acts instantly and deals massive damage. The downside is that the damage will not be very large. However, it is definitely worth pumping the skill, and to the end, since at maximum pumping it is one of the main farming skills.

4. Accurate shot - a bunch of magical arrows that hit the enemy. The damage of the skill is small, and the procast is so long that during this time you can be destroyed several times. Learning this skill is a waste of points.

5. Hail of arrows - the final level of the "Magic Arrow". Increases damage and grants 100% critical chance. Download for sure.

6. Fireball is another standard magic skill. Actually, the balls themselves have little damage. And the animation is quite long. But you need to pump the balls to the maximum in order to learn the next skill.

7. Directed explosion - continuation of the "Fireball" skill. Hurts the enemy and additionally takes away 35 hp every three seconds for fifteen seconds - a total of 175 more damage. One of the most useful mage skills. Download without thinking.

8. Meteorite Fall is a 200% wizard's ult with unrealistic damage and a bonus in the form of knocking down the enemy. In addition, the skill broadcasts a dot on the target for -50 hp every three seconds for eighteen seconds. Be sure to study to the maximum, since each new level not only increases damage, but also reduces the cooldown.

9. Sting is the only more or less usable melee skill in the wizard build. Allows you to stab an enemy with a dagger in a face-to-face encounter. With full pumping, damage increases, but it makes no sense to study the skill to the maximum. Inflicting serious damage to the enemy with it will still not work. The skill is useful only for the reason that with a high degree of probability hangs a stun on the enemy and allows you to quickly step aside. And for this it is not at all necessary to study it to the end.

10. Magic dodge - a standard dodge, which has countless levels, which, as pumping, reduce the consumption of stamina. At max level, allows the wizard to jump around the map almost non-stop. Be sure to download, gradually reaching the maximum mark, since mobility for a wizard is a must-have.

11. Teleportation is another skill with which the wizard can escape from the enemy. Unlike the previous skill, it makes the mage invulnerable to enemies. This way, while you are teleporting, no one can damage you. At maximum pumping, the cooldown of the skill is only 7 seconds. That is why study it to the end.

12. Shield of Power - 15% increased resistance to everything in exchange for a 40% increase in mana cost. Not the most basic mage skill, but if used at the right time, it can be extremely useful. Download if not first, then second.

13. Revival is one of the support skills, namely the resurrectionist. Each new level reduces the cooldown and increases the amount of HP that is given to the revived ally. To begin with, you can study at 1, and max it later, when there are free skill points. Moreover, full pumping costs only 28 points.

14. Absorption MP - drains mana from the enemy and hangs on him a four-second debuff by -50% to running speed. Download for one. This is quite enough to suck everything that is possible out of the unfortunate.

15. Lightning chain - basic skill for solo pvp. Always hits the target, even if the opponent skillfully dodges. In addition, it places a debuff on running speed (up to -60%) and has a good chance of staggering. If you plan to try your hand at duels, despite the numerous “don’t”, the skill is a must. In pve and team combat, there will be no sense from him.

16. Thunderstorm - continuation of the combo, which is an offshoot of the previous skill. Whether or not it is worth learning depends on your choice regarding Lightning Chain. In general, there are more useful analogues in the build.

17. Lightning strike. Powerful charge - download fully both the first skill and its offshoot. This is another ult of the wizard, only 100% already. A high crit chance, a 60% reduction in running speed - what else do you need to be happy? Pump to the maximum, as this is also the second main farm skill of the wizard.

18. Freeze - an ice ball that freezes the enemy. It may come in handy, download it for one. Max doesn't make sense.

19. Cloud of frost - the same as the previous skill, but with a mass effect. Likewise, study for 1.

20. Blizzard is one of the best AoE skills for pvp. Unleashes a huge snowstorm on the target area. Download necessarily, among the first.

21. Quick Order is another support skill. Gives the wizard and the entire team a 20% buff to running speed and casting speed for 30 seconds (at the last level, of course). In this case, the rollback is only 50 seconds. A skill that must be downloaded. It significantly increases the efficiency of the entire team and fully justifies the presence of a wizard in it.

22. Earthquake - a defensive skill that knocks over all enemies around the wizard and deals good damage. A useful skill, you should take at least level 1-2 and max it after reaching level 55.

23. Accurate blow - a jump with a subsequent blow, overturning the enemy. A kind of control for close combat. You can pump if there is nowhere to put skill points.

24. Aura of protection - significantly increases the defense against any controls except capture for the entire team. A rather expensive skill in terms of skill points, but it is still worth learning. True, after level 55, when all the main damage skills will already be pumped.

25. Healing Energy - Your first heal, instantly restores 20% HP to all team members. Cooldown is only 10 seconds. Be sure to learn.

26. Light of Healing - a cast heal that works in three ticks. Each of them restores 30% HP to the wizard and 20% HP to allies (when pumped to the maximum). Also restores 150 mana per tick to the character. Download to the last level, since the skill brings real benefits only at maximum buildup.

27. Center of Power - the first passive that summons an orb that heals mana. There is almost no sense from this. Download when you have nothing else to download.

28. Projection - Another ball that lures mobs. It's unlikely to ever come in handy.

29. Spiritual Fortitude is perhaps the only passive that makes sense to download as soon as it becomes available. Increases the casting speed, which the wizard simply needs.

As for the awakening of skills, first of all, it is worth catching the bonus to the speed of applying skills to the main attacking skills. The increase in HP and mana is also not bad, but not so necessary anymore.

In general, the wizard turned out to be a very interesting and multifaceted class. If you originally planned to play as a magical character, but the incredible pace of the forty terrifies you, the wizard is exactly what you need.

That's all we have for today. Leave your questions and opinions in the comments and share the article with friends on social networks. See you soon. Bye bye.

Wizard (Wizard) in Black Desert- This is a typical spellcaster with abilities to attack, slow, stun and knock back opponents. As a weapon, the wizard uses a staff (primary), a dagger (secondary) and spheres of elements (after awakening). The wizard can deal heavy damage to opponents and has spells to support allies, which can be very useful in large-scale PvP. The main difference between the wizard and the sorceress is that the wizard has a more aggressive style of play, and he knows how to capture opponents. The sorceress, on the other hand, knows how to block blows and is generally more tenacious.

  • Difficulty 3/5
  • PvP 3/5
  • PvE 5/5
  • Siege 5/5

Wizards are unusually strong in group PvP and sieges, but in duels they do not perform well (except when they manage to attack the enemy by surprise and stun him). Wizards usually play aggressively - they teleport to the enemy, capture him and deal heavy melee damage.

1. Advantages and disadvantages of the Wizard in BDO

Advantages:

  • Killing monsters quickly in PvE
  • Lots of AoE spells
  • Support Abilities in PvP
  • Simple pumping
  • Less dependent on equipment quality than other classes
  • High passive accuracy allows you to use different builds (both attack and evasion)
  • Suitable for large-scale PvP battles

Flaws:

  • Draws too much attention from enemies in PvP
  • Moves slowly
  • Casting spells for a long time
  • Weak in duels

2. Opponents

Advantageous Opponents:

Wizards are generally not suitable for dueling, so there are no advantageous opponents for them. However, in large-scale battles, wizards show their best side. They are able to eliminate any targets from afar, including tanks.

Unfavorable Enemies:

Wizards have particular difficulty in combat with Strikers and Mystics, as they have high resistance to magic and can use abilities to control several times in a row. Also, difficulties arise in battles with mobile classes.

  • Stryker
  • Mystic
  • Enchantress
  • Wizard

General Skills

Staff attack

Staff Attack is an auto-attack that can be used to quickly restore mana in PvE. To attack faster, turn around the enemy using the A and D keys while holding down the left mouse button.

Teleportation

+ [Space]

Teleportation is the only spell to speed up. Don't forget to take Limit: Teleportation to be able to teleport twice in a row. The direction of teleportation changes when the camera is turned (thus, for example, you can return to the starting point). The skill can be used during awakening without changing weapons.

Evasion Magic

+ [A] or [S] or [D]

Dodge Magic allows you to dodge attacks. Also cast by double-tapping the W key. Evasion Magic has a shorter cooldown than Teleportation, but its range is also shorter. Dodge Magic uses stamina instead of mana.

The memory of the sage

Skills panel

There is no keyboard shortcut for this skill, so it must be placed on the panel. The cooldown of Memory is 3.5 minutes. Upon use, the wizard gains the ability to instantly cast spells for 15 seconds.

Projection

Skills panel

Within 20 sec. attracts the attention of opponents who are close to the wizard. There is no hotkey combination for this skill, so you need to bring it to the panel. Projection has a 30 second cooldown at max rank, but it's far from the most essential skill.

center of power

Skills panel

This skill restores mana and increases movement speed by 10%. There is no hotkey combination for this skill, so you need to bring it to the panel.

Spiritual Fortitude

Passive

Passive skill that increases spell casting speed. Having pumped all the vital skills, invest all the extra points in Spiritual Fortitude.

Awakening: Realms of Nature

This skill is automatically acquired upon awakening and is used to change weapons.

bonds of flame

This skill allows you to capture the enemy and is actively used in PvP. The cooldown of Flame Link is 10 seconds, and the wizard gains additional resistance during use.

Elemental Madness

This skill is automatically acquired upon awakening and is used to enhance the character. It restores 700 HP. mana, increases spell casting speed by 20%, critical strike rating by 20%, attack power by 20, accuracy by 15%, dodge chance by 12%, defense by 15, and mana regeneration by 80 for 30 sec. During the duration of the effect, the character gains additional stability, the effect spreads to a maximum of 10 allies.

Elemental Orbs

[LMB] or [RMB]

This skill is an auto-attack upon awakening. It can be used on the grind to restore mana without spending extra potions. It also casts while moving forward, left, or right, but consumes stamina.

Summon: Guardian Ane

This skill is used to summon Ane's Guardian. The guardian attacks the wizard's targets from afar, and also has special abilities to deal damage. To use the special ability of the Guardian, you must press the right mouse button during the call. The summon also gives the character additional stability.

Summon: Guardian Marg

This skill is used to summon Guardian Marg. The Guardian attacks targets in close combat, and also has special abilities. To use the special ability of the Guardian, you must press the right mouse button during the call. The summon also gives the character additional stability.

Abilities to control

Ice arrow

+ [LMB]

On hit, freezes the target.

frosty mist

This skill has a large range and allows you to control opponents that are in front of the wizard. On a successful hit, gives the wizard stability and weakens the opponent.

Earth Strike

[LMB] + [A] or [D]

On a successful hit, knocks back enemies and launches them into the air.

water shackles

This skill places a debuff on the target, trapping them in a huge ball of water. On a successful hit, reduces movement, attack, and casting speed by 50%. Duration - 10 seconds, cooldown - 15 seconds. Use before the start of the fight, refresh the effect as often as possible.

Damage dealing abilities

magic arrow

This skill can be used while moving at a cost of stamina. Magic Missile is great for kiting when leveling up to Awakening, and can be enhanced with Arcane Missile and Bolt of Arrows. Arcane Missile (LMB + RMB) is an improved version of the Magic Missile, while the Volley of Arrows allows you to launch additional arrows at the target. There is no keyboard shortcut for the Hail of Arrows, so it must be placed on the panel.

Fire ball

[LMB] + [S] > [LMB]

In order to start casting the spell, press LMB + S, and then LMB again to release the ball. At max level, this skill knocks down up to 7 targets and places a debuff on them that deals damage over time. Fireball can be enhanced with Fire Blast, which deals much more damage. To use Fire Blast, press S + LMB to start casting Fireball, and then press LMB and RMB.

Lightning chain

+ (RMB Hold)

This skill is great for leveling up to level 40, but later its value drops. At rank one, Lightning Chain hits 3 targets and sometimes hits extra enemies, which is not always convenient. Lightning Chain can be upgraded to Fireball (Shift + RMB, LMB + RMB).

Lightning strike

Skills panel

This skill is used at 100% Black Spirit's Rage. It is an AoE stun and upgrades to Residual Charge (S + F + RMB). This combo deals massive damage and has a low cooldown, making it one of the simplest and most effective combos. However, it must be used with care as it consumes Black Spirit's Rage. When using Residual Charge at 100% Wrath, the wizard stands still for a long time and casts a spell, which is very disadvantageous in PvP or boss fights.

Meteor falling

(Hold S) + (Hold LMB) + (Hold RMB) > [LMB]

This skill is used when you have 200% Black Spirit's Rage. In order to start casting the spell, press LMB + S + RMB, and then LMB again to release the ball. To gain access to this skill, you must complete the Black Spirit's quest. Meteor Shower takes a long time to cast and has a 90 second cooldown. However, it deals a lot of damage, and its effectiveness depends on the maximum mana. Using this skill also grants stability and defense. The skill itself knocks back enemies and imposes a periodic damage effect on them. There is no limit on the number of targets.

Earthquake

Deals damage based on maximum mana. Enemies take damage as the spell is cast, at max rank Earthquake takes longer to cast. Using the skill gives additional stability and protection, there is no limit on the maximum number of targets. It also has a chance to knock down opponents.

ice storm

(HOLD SHIFT) + (HOLD LMB) + (HOLD RMB) > [LMB]

In order to start casting a spell, press LMB + Shift + RMB, and then LMB again. This skill is an upgraded version of Frostbolt, so you need to spend at least one point in Frostbolt. Ice Storm drains mana quickly. The cast is interrupted when the character moves or runs out of mana. Casting a spell gives additional protection.

whirlpool

+ [LMB]

This skill is used when you have 200% Black Spirit's Rage. It creates a huge whirlpool that splashes enemies with water. The spell lasts for quite some time and cannot be countered, so it needs to be handled with care. Whirlpool deals damage in front of the wizard. To change the direction of the water flow, you need to rotate the camera. This skill gives additional protection and imposes a stun effect on the enemy. It also has a chance to knock down opponents. At level 57 and above, Ane's Eye of the Storm can be used to empower Maelstrom.

fiery fury

Fiery Rage allows you to dash forward and provoke a fiery explosion in front of you. The skill gives the wizard protection and imposes stun and stun effects on the enemy. At level 58 and above, Fiery Rage can be augmented with Guardian Marg's Fiery Fist.

cold tide

[S] + [LMB] + [RMB]

This skill provides additional defense and knockback to enemies, and also imposes on them an effect that reduces movement speed by 20%. The duration of the effect is 10 sec. This is a very slow attack, but its duration can be increased by holding RMB or LMB. This combo triggers Guardian Anye's Stormy Waves ability. To change the direction of attack, rotate the camera.

Flame of destruction

This skill is used at 100% Black Spirit's Rage. The Flame of Destruction is a fireball that flies in a specified direction. Using the skill gives additional stability and knocks down opponents on a successful hit.

fire seat

This skill creates a circle of fire that deals heavy AoE damage. After using the skill, the character gains stability and +10% spell casting speed for 10 sec. On hit, the Hearth of Fire also knocks down enemies. At level 60 and above, the Hearth of Fire can be infused with Guardian Marg's Fire Breath.

water ball

This is the only skill that is acquired after awakening and does not have a cooldown. In addition, it does not provide additional protection, so the wizard is very vulnerable during use. However, it can be used from a normal stance without switching to awakening stance. Waterball has a chance to knock down opponents. At level 56 and above, you can use the Water Bomb (RMB after the ball) to strengthen the ball. This combo deals additional damage and has a chance to knock back enemies while flying or knock them back when knocked down.

lava lake

This skill creates a stream of lava in front of the wizard that lasts for 7.5 seconds. Enemies standing in lava receive 100 damage. damage every 3 sec. within 36 sec. This skill is heavily used in node battles and sieges, as the current passes through walls and barricades.

Support Abilities

Magic Absorption

+ [LMB]

This skill drains mana from the enemy and restores mana to the wizard. Actively used when pumping up to level 50.

healing energy

Restores a certain percentage of health and mana/energy/rage. Applies to both self and allies. The skill has a 10 second cooldown and no mana cost at max rank.
It can be applied from the panel. After awakening, it can be used without changing weapons.

light of healing

Heals nearby allies for a massive amount of health, and has a 30 second cooldown at max level. It should be remembered that the casting of the spell can be interrupted, as it does not give stability and protection.

resurrection

Skills panel

This skill resurrects a dead ally. To use, you must press CTRL, move the cursor over the body and use the spell from the panel. The first rank of the skill is learned automatically and can be used in Node Battles. At first rank, the spell brings an ally back to life with 50% health, at maximum rank - with 100% health, but we do not recommend upgrading this skill, as it is not used very often, and the extra points will be useful for other talents.

Magic shield

Grants the wizard a shield that converts 40% of incoming damage into mana (at max rank). Also increases all resistances. Action time - 30 sec. This skill has a 1 minute cooldown. Use it wisely, before or during a fight.

Aura of Protection

This skill increases the defense of the wizard and his nearby allies, as well as increasing resistances and granting immunity to control effects, except for grappling. This is a very important skill that is commonly used in PvP. Despite the short duration of action, it can drastically change the course of the battle. The cooldown of the skill is 3 minutes, try not to waste it.

Acceleration

Skill bar

This skill does not have a keyboard shortcut, so it needs to be brought to the panel. Haste increases your attack, spell casting, and movement speed for 30 seconds. Affects the wizard and his nearby allies.

4. Wizard Combo in Black Desert

This section is under construction!

The following combos are considered "secret". It must be remembered that there are other combos in the game, but many players refuse to share them in order not to give opponents an advantage. That is why we publish only well-known combos and invite you to calculate all other combos yourself.

  • The letters in square brackets indicate the keys to be pressed. For example, [Q] means that you need to press the Q key once.
  • The letters in parentheses indicate the keys to be pressed and held. For example, (Hold Q) means that you need to hold down the Q key and do not release it until the next step. (Permanently hold Q) means that the Q key must be held until the end of the combo.
  • Letters combined with a + symbol indicate keys that must be pressed simultaneously. For example, [Q] + [LMB] means that you need to press Q and the left mouse button at the same time.
  • The letters combined with the symbol > indicate the keys to be pressed in turn. For example, [Q] + [LMB] > [F] means that you need to simultaneously press Q and the left mouse button, and then release them and press F.
  • [LMB] denotes a left mouse button click, [RMB] a right mouse button click.

Required Skills: Teleportation (Awakening Skill Combo)

[Space] + [LMB] > [S] + [C]

This combo is used in awakening stance, after teleporting the character picks up the staff again. Used to quickly heal or apply an Aura of Protection.

5. Wizard's Ultimate Skills

Below are the absolute skills that are recommended to be taken by everyone without exception.

Absolute: Ice Storm - Requires level 59 (55 skill points)

Absolute: Meteorite Impact - Requires level 60 (30 Skill Points)

Absolute: Ice Storm and Absolute: Meteor Impact deals heavy damage. The second skill reduces the cooldown of Meteor Impact by 3 times (30 seconds instead of 1.5 minutes). Absolute: Ice Storm extends the duration of Ice Storm. Both skills are used in large scale fights for damage and control.

Absolute: Earthquakes - Requires level 56 (40 Skill Points)

Absolute: Frostbolt - Requires level 58 (40 skill points)

Absolute: Frost Mist - Requires level 56 (27 skill points)

Absolute: Frostbolt, Absolute: Frost Mist, and Absolute: Earthquakes are desirable but not required. Absolute: Earthquake is used to gain additional resilience, as the ultimate version of the skill reduces the cooldown of regular Earthquake. Absolute: Frost Mist and Absolute: Frostbolt are useful in duels, but these skills require 1700-1800 skill points to acquire.

Additional Ultimate Skills

Absolute: Lightning Strike - Requires level 56 (35 skill points)

This absolute skill is optional. It should only be taken if they suit your personal preference. Absolute: Lightning Strike requires 100% Black Spirit's Rage, deals maximum damage and stuns enemies. However, while casting the spell, the wizard is left unprotected. In the absence of 100% Black Spirit's Rage, the skill is not used.

6. Weapons and armor of the Wizard in BDO

Currently, the best weapons in the game are dropped from World Bosses.

Main weapon:

Staff of Roshar

The Staff of Roshar is used when leveling. Try to sharpen it to at least +7 and then to +16, especially if you don't have Liberto or Kzarka. If you want to save stones, immediately buy the Staff of Roshar +15, ideally - immediately yellow. Place stones in it for spell casting speed and critical strike (up to +5).

When leveling, a good alternative to Roshar is Staff Steed. It can be bought from the blacksmith, it gives 18-22 units. attacks and increases accuracy.

Staff of Liberto

The Liberto is the second most powerful right-handed weapon in the game, but it's much easier to get than the Kzarka. If you have money and want to save gems, buy Liberto +15 and up and upgrade it to +16 as soon as possible. We recommend playing with Liberto up to a maximum of +18, and then switching to Kzarka. Liberto grants slightly more attack than Yuria and also increases Critical Hit Rating.

Staff of Kzarka

The Staff of Kzarka is the best weapon for PvP. In terms of attack bonus, it is almost equal to the Staff of Liberto, however, it gives more accuracy and attack speed.

Additional weapon:

steel dagger

The Steel Dagger is the best secondary weapon for PvP if you don't already have the Nouver Dagger. The steel dagger is also suitable for PvE if you don't have Kutum. For leveling, sharpen your dagger to at least +7, and when you reach the maximum level - to +16 as soon as possible. If you want to save resources, immediately buy a +15 dagger (ideally yellow).

Bronze dagger

The bronze dagger is a secondary weapon for those who lack accuracy. Since wizards have passive hit, they don't really need a Bronze Dagger (except when they have to fight high-level targets often).

Dagger Paring

The Paring Dagger is a secondary weapon for those lacking evasion. Wizard evasion builds are viable. If you like this playstyle, try to get the Paring Dagger. In addition, this weapon is often used in duels, as the extra dodge often allows you to avoid capture (and therefore death).

Kutum Dagger

Kutum's dagger gives attack, defense and accuracy, and also increases damage against monsters. It also ignores resistances by 10% and can be slotted with 2 gems. All this makes the Kutum Dagger the best secondary weapon for PvE.

Nouver Dagger

The Nouver Dagger is used in large-scale PvP by characters with attack builds. It gives a tangible bonus to attack and a 10% bonus to resistance. Nouver's Dagger deals more damage to non-CC targets and has an extra gem socket. If you do not have enough money for the Nouver Dagger, use the Steel Dagger.

Awakened Weapon:

Simple Elemental Orbs

This is a green weapon that is sold by some vendors. It can also be obtained by completing awakening quests. It gives less attack than all the other options, but it can still be used in PvE (damage to all races +5). It costs less money to upgrade and repair, so if you are short on funds or often participate in PvP fights, use Simple Elemental Orbs.

Rode's Elemental Spheres

Rode's Elemental Orbs are a blue weapon awarded for completing the final awakening quest. In addition, it can be obtained from the night merchant. Rode's Elemental Spheres cost more money to repair than the previous version, but they give more attack and are also suitable for PvP (damage to all races +7).

Elemental Spheres of Karanda

Karanda's Elemental Orbs are the ultimate awakening weapon. It gives a lot of attack, but it can only be obtained from the world boss or bought from the night merchant.

Armor:

At the moment, the best armor in the game drops from world bosses. Try to get boots and gloves first

  • Griffin helmet (helmet) Dropped by gryphons in Kamasylvia.
  • Giant Treant Armor (chest)- Dropped by Giant Treant.
  • Bracers of Bhega (gloves)– drop from Bhega.
  • Argon Shoes (Boots)- Dropped by Argon.
  • Geass Helmet (helmet)(alternative) - drops from Geass.
  • Muscan shoes (boots)(alternative) - drops from Argon.

The best items for a wizard currently are Gryphon's Helm, Giant Treant Armor, Bheg's Bracers, and Argon's Shoes.

A full set grants +100 Mana/Rage, +200 Health, +200 Stamina, +1 Attack Speed, +1 Casting Speed, +1 Movement Speed, and +5% Resistances. Individual items in the set provide bonuses to accuracy, evasion, and reduced incoming damage.

In addition, you can wear one of the following sets:

A popular set for wizards is Grunil. It grants a health bonus and two gem slots per item, as well as a +7 attack bonus. This set can be worn by any class, so you can easily switch characters if needed.

Set hello is also popular. It is worn by those who have already started collecting items from bosses. The absence of one of the Grunil set items significantly weakens the character, so the armor of good health comes in handy.

If you have a Liberto weapon, this kit will suit you. Lemoria. It can be used for leveling, as it gives a little more protection than the Grunil set.

7. Wizard Accessories

There are a lot of accessories in the game, their choice depends on the build and already available items of equipment. The choice of high-level accessories additionally depends on the type of battle you are participating in.

Earrings

If you have the opportunity, wear Asula's Eye Earrings from Asula's set. These earrings are also recommended for beginners. They give +7 to attack and good set bonuses. An alternative would be the Earrings of Pares (+2 to attack) or any other earrings with a bonus to attack. The best option is the Witch Ornament (+5 to attack).

Ideally, you want a Witch Ornament II/III (9-11 attack) or Tunra Earrings II (11 attack). Tunra earrings are the best in the game.

In addition, wizards may wear Red Coral Earrings, especially if they lack accuracy. We advise you to upgrade one Red Coral Earring to the maximum, and the second - only to II. Additional accuracy can be obtained from Tree Spirit Belt.

Earrings of Illyria deserve special mention. They can be obtained at level 62, they give a huge bonus to attack. In principle, they can be compared with the Tunra III Earrings.

Another good option is Sun Earrings [Ruby], especially if you're playing an evasion build.

In addition, you can use the Ring of Parse (+2 to attack) or other rings with a bonus to attack. The best option is the Sign of the Shadow (+5 to attack).

The Royal Ring of Sahazard can be obtained by completing quests in Valencia. It can't be upgraded, but is a worthy alternative to Temple Protector's Ring or Shadow Token I/II.

Also worth mentioning is the Ring of Illyria. It can be obtained at level 61, and it provides an impressive bonus to attack (in fact, it is the equivalent of Ring of the Temple Protector III).

Another worthy option is the Ring of the Ruin Protector, it will suit characters with evasion builds.

As an alternative, you can use the Pares Necklace (+4 to attack), when upgraded to II / III, the bonus increases to 8-10 to attack. Upgrading the Pares Necklace will cost you less than acquiring better necklaces. The obvious alternatives are the Serap II Necklace or the Tunra / Ogre Necklace I.

Tree Spirit Belt I/II is worse than Basilisk Belt II, but it's cheaper and easier to get. Basilisk Belt and Velthar's Belt of Radiance are slightly inferior to Tunra's Belt. If you need accuracy, use the Tree Spirit Belt, combined with Red Coral Earrings II and other offensive accessories.

Characters with evasion builds will benefit from the Centaur Belt.

Examples

To plan and track the progress of the character, we strongly recommend that you use the service BDOPLANNER.COM .

The choice of build depends on the usual style of play and the desired role in PvP. Below are examples to help you make your choice.

This build is intended for leveling the Wizard in Black Desert, as well as for characters who have not yet had time to get equipment from bosses. In terms of upgrades, weapons take precedence over armor. Remember that upgrades provide tangible bonuses, especially to defense.

Max level character without boss gear: link

This build allows you to comfortably play without having equipment from bosses. Instead of the suggested earrings, you can wear Red Coral Earrings or a Witch's Ornament, however, it is worth remembering that these items are expensive.

PvP build for high level characters (damage): link

This is the build to aim for if you want to deal maximum damage to opponents. To develop a character to such a level, it will take a lot of time and effort. This build allows you to actively participate in PvP battles. If you need extra hit but can't afford expensive gems, equip one Red Coral Earring (+18) and Tree Spirit Belt.

If you lack protection in duels, use the Paring Dagger. This build is well suited for dealing damage in large-scale PvP battles. To play effectively, you need to use the Protection Aura and other power-ups, and then unleash the most powerful spells on the heads of enemies.

PvP build for high level characters (evasion): link

This is the build to aim for if you want a character with maximum evasion. It will take a lot of time and effort to develop a character to this level, so we recommend starting from the previous build and gradually collecting the missing items with bonuses for evasion (Centaur Belt, Sichil Necklace and Earrings of the Sun). If you don't need maximum evasion, Earrings of the Sun can be replaced with Earrings of Tunra [ link ].

This is a defensive build that is used primarily in PvE to heal and buff allies, as well as control opponents. You won't be able to deal much damage, but you will live much longer. Even though a defensive build is viable, in most cases it is recommended to use a damage build.

PvE build for high level characters: link

This build is meant to be played in high level locations and requires a Kutum weapon.

9. Consumables

While grinding, drink potions for experience and Tea with milk. Eat Lagri Seafood Lunch, Serendi Special Lunch, or any meal that suits you. The choice of a particular dish depends on the characteristics and preferences.

Can be used in skirmishes and sieges knight's dinner, Valencian Special Meal, Kamasylvia Meal and Big Jungle Sandwich (in that order). If you want to save money, use the Lagri Seafood Lunch instead of the Kamasylvia Lunch. You can also eat the Special Valencian Meal and the Special Kamasylvia Meal for the effect to last 120 minutes.

If you liked our guide to the Wizard (Sorceress) in Black Desert, then you can rate or repost in the social. net. Thank you!

I’ll answer now about the build. I didn’t accurately describe the skills, more precisely, I didn’t write anything about them at all, it feels like the author just rolled up someone else’s build from a different site and in order to see more hides of other people’s articles. My opinion is this - I decided to write about the build - describe it. Now for the skills.

Now the topmost screen - Magic shield. At first, you can not max it out by 2-3 ur.

On the second screen, the skill is purely pressed with one button, namely (RMB) do not max it. 3 ur maximum.

[Fire ball] and its offshoot Max as on the screen. These are control skills, knockdown and rollover. It is very interesting and useful to combine with these skills.

[Chain of lightning] (shift + right click) - imba skill MAX(this skill stuns and slows attack/skill and run speed by 40% ).If the wizard is not countered in GVG, he will bring simply incommensurable benefits with this skill.
Branch [Thunderball](after shift + right click, while holding right click, press left click) - download by preference I don't think he's bad as- not such a long-range skill. And since it’s not so long-range, then you won’t use it in pvp. In pvp, if the Wizard comes close, the result is one - death. There are other skills that you will need to use in pvp, whether in party or clan. I don't recommend max.

Under the chain of lightning goes [Lightning Bolt] (Back+F) This is an ult! her MAXI! I think there is no need to explain anything about the ult - the main skill. And especially his offshoot! WILD DAMAGE - max
Branch [Residual charge] (after back + F - RMB) - top damage! Max as on the screen!

[Healing Energy] (E) I don't recommend maxing it out it is enough to pump it 3 times) it is needed both for a small heal and for a massive heal, I’ll explain right now. Under the Energy of Healing there is a skill [Light of Healing] mass heal - max it out.
There are times when you don't have mana. You use [Energy of Healing] (E) it does not require MP, you restore the necessary amount of MP for yourself in order to use the most pumped [Light of Healing] that same heal that your brothers need so much in mass pvp. I remind you that to scroll through this outstanding fraud, you need only 3 ur. [Healing Energy]

[Protection Aura] purely in terms of its playstyle. on the middle screen is not pumped. It greatly increases the defense indicator and all resistance except for the capture. This skill is suitable for those who want to help their party members. It is especially useful at the moment when an alien clan is about to attack yours when you defeat your fort during a siege. This skill is cast for a couple of seconds and holds the skill itself over your head for a couple of seconds and this buff hangs for as long as you pump it.

[Earthquake] farming skill. did not download it, you can download it once try to farm them. Try it if you like. If anything, I will write down my impressions about this skill.

At the expense of frost, again, decide for yourself. I have personally maxed out 1 and mass freeze and single target freeze.

To account ice storm. Some max. Some don't. At the last level of the skill - cd 1 minute and requires 150 mana and burns the enemy's mana. If you compare it with the previous levels of the skill, then it's awesome. Personally, I don't see much point in this skill, pumped it by 1 because it doesn't increase damage with an increase in the skill's ur. It's purely my decision, judging by my style of play. I'll pump it last. Maybe a little earlier.

it’s very good that you described your comments, because the class is new, and is only checked by the game, the article itself was created for discussion, with the hope that there will be people who know this class and know how to play it. If you can help, I'll redo the screenshots for both pvp battles and for swinging, because while I'm swinging I use this build, and in pvp everything is very difficult 1v1.

Grandfather (Wizard) and Granddaughter (Sorceress) are the only classes in Black Desert that remain pure RDD even after starting to use awakened weapons at level 56. Before awakening, these classes are completely identical, but then the Wizard specializes in the elements of fire and water, and the Sorceress specializes in earth and electricity.

Advantages and disadvantages of the Sorceress

This class is frankly weak in a duel against others, imprisoned for solo PVP, but a very valuable ally in massive PVP battles: in the Arena of Blood or during a siege. This is explained by the presence of buffs imposed on all members of the group (attack speed, movement, skills and additional damage), as well as the ability of the Sorceress to heal or resurrect a fallen ally. In the grind, only the Wizard can compete with this class: thanks to the many AoE skills, mobs die in large groups at once, thanks to which the character leveling becomes fast.

Another advantage is that this class doesn't need any pots at all: health can be restored on its own with the help of skills, and mana is quickly regenerated by killing mobs. The same pumps purified water and tea from star anise while traveling through the desert: to restore HP, which decreases due to the effects of a desert debuff, it is enough to sometimes get off an elephant or camel and periodically apply healing skills. If you are traveling on a horse, you can use this skill right in the saddle.

The disadvantages of the Sorceress include typical problems that are typical for magicians in almost all MMORPGs: a lower health pool compared to other classes, a long spell cast and, as a result, a greater likelihood of losing in solo PVP. However, despite these shortcomings, today the Sorceress is one of the most popular classes in Black Desert due to her unmatched ability to destroy mobs in large groups.

Sorceress Equipment

As the main weapon, the Sorceress uses a staff, an additional one - a dagger, an awakened one - spheres of nature. The main passive skill of the Sorceress, which should definitely be pumped, is “Spiritual Fortitude”, which reduces the casting time of spells. Accordingly, the character may not have enough accuracy, so even with an impressive attack rate, he will deal less damage to mobs and other players.

In light of the latest updates, it turns out that the very popular Yuria Staff is not the best option due to the low additional accuracy. Out of all competition (and not only for this class) is the main weapon of Elsie, only slightly inferior to the top staff of Kzarka. Keep in mind that due to the sharply increased popularity, it has become problematic to buy it at the auction, but you can try to knock out this weapon yourself from low-level mobs. Unfortunately, this staff cannot be crafted in the crafting workshop.

As for Liberto's main weapon, you shouldn't mess with it at all: the amount needed to buy sharpened weapons from the auction. Enough to buy a Kzarka and sharpen it yourself. Do not be seduced by the low cost of the inaccurate Liberta: it is no easier to strengthen it than the same Kzarka, and the cost of restoring maximum strength is only slightly cheaper. The best option is to use the cheapest limit and save up silver to buy and strengthen the staff of Kzarka.

As an initial set of armor, it is optimal to use Ajeri's helmet, gloves and boots, which will eventually give 100 additional HP and an increase in attack speed and skills by 2. To increase the Sorceress, first of all, it is the skill speed, then the chance of a critical hit and the maximum amount HP. Movement speed is not a fundamental factor: with well-chosen equipment and the correct use of skills, mobs will not come too close to you at all, so you won’t have to run away. In order to get the necessary parameters, use inlay stones.

As the fourth piece of equipment at the initial stage, you can use the Armor of magical assistance, the quest for which the Black Spirit will issue upon reaching level 51. You can start collecting the boss set with the Red Nose armor, which is always sold at the auction. Of course, the armor of the Giant Ancient is better, as it gives an additional 200 HP, but it is not so easy to get it: it is immediately bought at the auction, and in order to purchase this item from the night merchant Patrizio, you will have to drain more than one hundred of energy.

Sorceress Skills Before Awakening

Before reaching level 56, the Sorceress uses the help of four elements: fire, electricity, ice and earth. In her arsenal are skills that can both inflict damage on the enemy and immobilize him for a short time.

Consider the skills that must be activated at this stage:

  • Staff strike. An auto-attack that restores mana when it hits an enemy. Deals low damage, so cast is ineffective.
  • The power of the sage. Passive skill that increases magic damage by 20.
  • The memory of a sage. Allows you to instantly cast any spell for 15 seconds.
  • Magic arrow. Fires ice arrows at the enemy. Has no cooldown. Before Awakening is one of the main skills when farming.
  • Fireball and Fire Blast. Deal more damage with fireballs, but have a cooldown.
  • Meteor falling. Deals massive area damage, but has a 1.5 minute cooldown.
  • Mobile evasion. Allows you to dodge enemy attacks at the cost of stamina.
  • Teleportation. With this skill, the Sorceress can instantly move a short distance.
  • Magic shield. Grants additional protection against crowd control effects, and absorbs some of the damage taken.
  • Lightning chain. Deals damage to multiple targets at once, restoring mana.
  • Lightning strike. Stuns enemies and deals massive area damage that increases when Black Spirit's Rage is fully charged.
  • Resurrection. Allows you to raise a fallen ally.
  • Acceleration. Increases skill speed, spell casting and movement.
  • Healing energy, healing light. Restores the health and mana of the character and allies.
  • Secret knowledge. Increases the character's maximum health.
  • Skilled hunter. Passive skill that increases damage dealt to monsters.

The rest of the skills are not so effective, so there is no point in downloading them.

Sorceress Skills After Awakening

Up to level 56, you can reset activated skills for free and rebuild the build if something does not suit you and there are not enough skill points for more useful skills. From level 56, to reset skills, you will have to buy the Armstrong Sphere in the game store.

There are significantly fewer awakened skills, but more skill points will be required to activate them all. At the moment, when there is more experience due to simplified leveling and doubling on weekends, in order to get a viable Sorceress, it is recommended to use various buffs, thanks to which you can earn more skill points - scrolls, Black Spirit's blessings, dark beer, etc.

At least level 56, a character must have at least 500 skill points. If they are sorely lacking, it is recommended, after taking the quest, to deactivate the skills from the main rack and take only the most necessary ones: for healing and mana restoration, as well as teleportation. The cooldown of awakened skills is short, so you can use them all at once in turn, both during the farm and the raid on the world boss.

Helpers

The sorceress after awakening is also more effective for the reason that now she can use an earth or electric golem. The first attacks targets at close range, the second strikes from a distance with electric current. The earth golem is useful in sieges, as it is able to climb over fortifications in order to attack the enemy.

The disadvantages of assistants include the fact that by default they only attack when they inflict damage on the character, since they are set to protect. The attack of the selected target is activated by a separate skill, which is better to immediately bind to a button that is convenient for you. It is also recommended to activate passive awakening skills when the character's attack is reinforced by the golem's attack.

Overall, the Sorceress is an interesting class that is easy to play, as she doesn't have long combos that require the player to be a pianist. With due diligence and the right choice of equipment, your character will become an indispensable member of the group, and will also be able to mine silver alone if you prefer a solo game.
