P.S. to increase the volume of the call and the radio, go to the engineering menu * # 3646633 # there we edit the Audio-Normal Mode Melody and FM Radio parameter to Volume 6 from 144 and 192 to 255. Now the radio and the call are yelling louder

Super battery. The absence of unnecessary wifi energy consumers, a camera, a flashlight, yes, yes, this is a virtue (there is a wonderful flashlight in the smart, if you really need it). Good connection, even where other models gave in. Strict appearance. Memory card 16 GB 10kl. got up like a mother
And most importantly, the function of charging other devices!
Flaws
An ideal means of communication and recharging, what are the disadvantages here.

It was curious to experience how it charges other devices. The battery (1910 mAh) of the Sony Xperia acro S smart phone was charged from 57% to 100% in 1 hour 27 minutes. I gave the rest of the energy to the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 N8000 tablet (7000mAh on board). But the old smart SGS 1
didn't see it at all.
P.S. Making unthinkable demands on this device ("no camera", "no WIFI", "can't keep 5 e-mail addresses and 10 phone numbers on one name in kotakt") is just stupid.

    - 2900 mah battery
    - USB port for charging gadgets
    - Good workmanship, no backlash does not hold together, the illumination of the keyboard is almost uniform.
    - Connectors for sim cards allow you to insert a mini sim although they are made under the usual one.
    - Radio works without headphones
    - Good call quality
Flaws
    - No flashlight
    - No java
    - Phone book having a complete look (few fields)
    - USB plug without fixing (removed and lost)
    - Strange things with ringtones for an alarm clock and a call can not be sent to SMS and there are only 3 built-in
    - Ringer volume is low
    - The screen is so-so fonts curves
    - No 3G (this shit could at least be a modem)
A comment

The battery on which you can call on this is all, there can be no enthusiasm from such a phone, you can only charge it with an iPhone, for other models, the battery is almost the same as on the Philips, so you can only support another device that would not sit down at all. The implementation of the phone book is clumsy, the handset does not understand the few fields for recording modern formats, you will have to transfer it manually or with crooked software through a computer, the screen is so-so, you could insert an AMOLED it costs a penny for this size, there is no Java the password keeper cannot be installed, the quality the connection is good, because the 2G handset if any smart switch to this mode (GSM) the communication quality will be the same because 2G covers everything with us, for a very long time. As a result, the phone is a time machine (back to the past) Ideal for those who talk a lot on the road for the rest to notice.

Now I carry with me only one wire (USB-microUSB), with which I can charge everything from the PHILIPS Xenium X1560: a bluetooth headset, a smartphone, a portable speaker.
Flaws
The headphones let us down, it is impossible to use them: imagine the huge male ears of an elderly person ... and so, even in them, I think, these headphones will not fit. And with them, the radio catches better than with my Sonyerikson ones ...

After turning off and on the phone, some settings were reset. I had to re-post. But the important thing remains hot buttons, calendar entries, etc.

A comment

There are no games. There is no lantern. No camera. There is no vegetation. Inhabited by robots
Sims selects both the main one from which to call, and the one from which to go to the Internet (in this phone, a very “important” function)))))

The buttons are comfortable, including the central one.
Super menu "hot" buttons, customizable: 1.up 2.down 3.left 4. right, 5. use the center to open the calendar 6. top right button calls up the list I have compiled.
The calendar is great! You can see notes of the whole month or by weeks; customizable reminders, etc. In a smartphone, Android does not have a normal calendar application. So I enjoy using it. Notes are also quite functional.

The display has brightness settings (large range), and font size.

The calculator is handy.

I don’t write about the rest, because everything suits or even makes me very happy.

The Philips Xenium X1560 mobile phone is literally a small powerhouse in the hand. Not only does it have excellent battery performance for long calls, it can also charge other smartphones when connected with the USB connection cable directly. With this device, you can literally feel the possible power of the battery.

The phone without recharging can work up to 100 days in standby mode, which seems simply incredible. In addition, on a single charge it can last up to 40 hours of talk time.

Two SIM cards

The ability to use two SIM cards at the same time is another undoubted advantage of this device. So, you can organize your personal and work affairs much better and save the contacts you need separately using two different phone numbers. With dual SIM, you don't need to carry 2 phones with you.

Screen Features

While the Philips Xenium X1560 phone doesn't offer a lot of extra features, its screen looks quite attractive. With a small size - 2.4 inches - the QVGA TFT 262K display looks very good. is carried out quite quickly, and the pictures are displayed bright and colorful. At the same time, the response time when loading each image is minimal. Display resolution - 240 x 320 pixels, 16 million colors available. For a device in the budget price category, these are quite good indicators. Available image compression formats are BMP, JPEG, GIF, PNG.

FM radio

The built-in antenna and external speaker features of the Philips Xenium X1560 mobile phone mean you don't have to wear headphones all the time if you want to listen to the radio. Now you can enjoy your favorite radio stations at any volume, indoors or outdoors. Depending on your mood or circumstances, you can easily switch the listening mode to headphones.

Bluetooth

This device also supports the A2DP Bluetooth profile. This will allow you to enjoy your favorite tunes wirelessly. With the Philips Xenium X1560, you get the opportunity to listen to high-quality stereo music with Bluetooth-enabled headphones.

MicroSD slot for memory card

The nice thing is that you can increase the amount of memory for storing multimedia files by inserting it into the phone's built-in slot.

Appearance

The Philips Xenium X1560 mobile phone has the following dimensions: height - 119.6 mm, width - 51.1 mm and thickness - 16.3 mm. The device weighs only 122 grams, and its compact dimensions allow you to place it in any pocket. The device is only available in one color - black. Also, the phone is equipped with a built-in antenna, and its form factor is a monoblock.

X1560. Specifications

The phone supports several GPRS communication formats (Rx Tx +) - class 12 and class B, as well as GSM with a frequency of 900, 1800, 1900 MHz. The formats for receiving and sending messages are also different - combined SMS (long SMS), SMS CB (Cell Broadcast), SMS (Short Message Service), multi-purpose SMS, MMS, multimedia messaging service. An additional feature is the connection to the network using WAP 2.0 technology. Of course, Philips Xenium X1560 features are quite modest, but for a budget device they are very good.

Sound

The possibilities of sound reproduction on the device are very modest - an MP3 call is available, there is polyphony (64 tones). Supported audio formats: MP3, AMR, Midi, AAC, which can also be used as a ringtone to call. The Philips Xenium X1560 phone (reviews of which are positive) is recorded in AMR format. It is possible to record your own voice, the sound is quite clear and loud.

phone memory

The device supports Micro SD memory cards with a maximum capacity of 8 GB. The Philips Xenium X1560 has almost no storage space of its own.

Connection

The gadget has a headset jack and allows you to use the hands-free device. Wireless communication is available in Bluetooth V2.1 format, the following Bluetooth profiles are supported: A2DP, AVRCP, FTP, GAVDP, HFP, HSP, IOPT, OPP.

A wired connection is possible using a USB cable and is used to transfer MicroUSB data from your phone to a computer or other devices.

Buttons

The device is controlled using physical buttons. There is a 4-way navigation key and an enter key, as well as an on/off button.

Call management

The menu contains an archive of incoming and outgoing calls, including unanswered ones. There are settings for forwarding incoming calls, which can be done in various ways. There are also call waiting and emergency call options. The sound signal during a call can be turned off or replaced with vibro, and its volume is also adjustable. The screen displays a digital clock showing the current time.

Applications

There are no built-in games in the phone. There are pre-installed applications such as reminder, agenda, alarm clock, calculator, calendar, stopwatch. Various screensavers, wallpapers and ringtones are available as personal and user settings. Also, the device is equipped with a built-in flashlight, which provides good lighting.

Text input can be carried out as a standard alphanumeric method, and using the T9 mode. The interface language can be changed at the user's request. Available in Russian, English, Romanian and Ukrainian languages.

Power

As mentioned above, the phone has a super-powerful battery. Without recharging, the device can work for more than three months. This is provided by a 2900 mAh lithium-ion battery.

Accessories

The standard set when buying a phone is as follows - charger, headset, USB data cable, user manual. The device comes in a thick cardboard box. For Philips Xenium X1560, the instruction is extremely simple. It is also rated by users.

Positive qualities Philips Xenium X1560

  • Low cost.
  • A capacious battery that works very long and economically.
  • Big 2.4" screen. Its characteristics are quite good, it's just a phone without any additional features.
  • Attractive appearance. Despite the simplicity, the device looks modern.
  • Ability to use two SIM cards at the same time.
  • Quality work and stable communication. Conversations are very comfortable.
  • The volume of the call is at a fairly high level, and the sound of the call is pleasant. The vibrating alert is good, it's hard to miss it.
  • The device has a good menu, which does not contain unnecessary items. No direct access to social networks, etc.
  • For each of the contacts, it is possible to record the place of work, e-mail, and other important information.
  • Alarm clock in five modes with the possibility of various settings regarding the frequency.

Flaws

  • The button located in the center is not very convenient. When operating the Philips Xenium X1560 phone, you can easily miss, especially for a user with not quite thin fingers.
  • The device has a fairly large size and especially a large thickness. At first glance, the device is not too bulky, but compared to more advanced smartphones, this difference is felt very strongly.
  • There are no apps to sync your device with your computer. This shortcoming is probably the most significant. As a result, if you need to transfer contacts somewhere, you have to do this only through a SIM card. In addition, it is impossible to back up contacts - if the phone breaks down, all saved data will be irretrievably lost.
  • The telephone directory is not very convenient. It is not possible to save multiple mobile numbers in one contact. Only one mobile, one home and one work number is allowed. The name must contain no more than thirty characters.
  • It is not possible to save a large number of SMS, as well as store them for a long time. Almost all users will agree that a certain part of the messages needs to be saved, but this is not possible in the described device.
  • To receive SMS, you cannot set the desired sound signal. There is only a choice of several preset very simple signals.
  • The USB connector on the bottom is practically useless. Of course, you can charge other gadgets through it, including smartphones, but in practice, few users will do this. The design of the device provides for the presence of a rubber plug. However, this slightly spoils the look of the phone.

Final verdict

This device is suitable for those users who need only phone functions. For them, the long battery life and the lack of additional options will be relevant.

Dimensions: 51.1x119.6x16.3 mm.

Appearance, body

Needless to say, this model was an ugly duckling - silvery plastic inserts, a curved screen with bevelled corners, a kind of keyboard. The new model looks much more solid than an example. received the so-called masculine design: black (the insert goes only along the side face), clear straight lines, a flat screen. Looks good at the level of more expensive push-button phones. The body materials, however, have not changed: - this is the realm of plastic with different textures (only on the keyboard you can see a couple of metal strips), but this is normal for a budget phone.

Compared to its predecessor, it has grown in size. Not very much, but still. The height has increased by 6 mm, and the width - by 3.1 mm. But in thickness it decreased by 0.95 mm. The last parameter seems to be ridiculously small, but it corrected the disproportion in size that the . He seemed a little overweight, but the new model is gone. Together, it looks harmonious and harmonious. Considering the size of the battery the engineers had to hide in the bowels of the hull, we can say that they coped with the task by five points. A slight increase in dimensions on the operation is not reflected.

The increase in size required not only a more capacious battery, but also a new screen, which has grown from 2 to 2.4 inches. This made working with the phone more convenient, however, the screen itself, of course, cannot be attributed to the top ones. It has decent brightness (although it still fades in the sun) and good colors, but the resolution is not very high, and the viewing angles, especially vertically, are ridiculously small. For a budget phone, this is a normal screen, but no more.

The package seems to have remained the same, but received a number of features. The charger, as before, is prefabricated, consists of an adapter and a cord. That's just if the connector had a Mini-USB, then it's already Micro-USB. It is unlikely that this is important, both formats are widespread enough to choose the right cable in which case. The adapter has also changed, but here the replacement is forced - the new adapter is designed to work with a higher current, otherwise the increased battery would take forever to charge.

The headset has also not disappeared from the budget phone kit (which in itself is nice and even a little surprising). Moreover, instead of the monophonic misunderstanding with one earpiece that came with, a decent stereo version appeared, through which you can comfortably talk and listen to music.

I was amused by the presence in the kit of a card from the famous Litres store for five free books. Apparently, the manufacturer has an agreement with the store and they put similar promotional materials in all their products. In the case of this, it looks quite comical. The card itself says that “the Litres application is already installed on your phone and through it you can download free books.” Naturally, there is no application on the phone, and there is no “Applications” section at all. Moreover, no reader can be installed in principle. Most likely, this is a universal card, it got into the box with this model for the company. So, although the card looks nice, it does not bring any real bonuses - you cannot use it on another phone or tablet.

Governing bodies

The first thing that attracts attention is the changed keyboard. If the keys were combined by three into blocks of a very bizarre shape, then they were made with the usual 3x3 matrix. Typing SMS on a first generation phone was not very convenient. Although the keyboard was cut horizontally, it allowed you to move from key to key by touch, but the movement of the buttons was such that, until you look at the screen, it was not clear how many times you pressed the key. It is a little more difficult to move to the neighboring buttons by touch, but the keys themselves have become much more convenient. They have a long soft stroke and a clear actuation point. So typing SMS has become much more pleasant.

Also pleased with the change in the design of the five-way pseudo-navipad above the numeric keypad. In it was a very peculiar design with an overhanging key in the middle. The item looks stylish and is more functional. By the way, each side of the pseudo-navipad in desktop mode activates some function. The "up" button calls up the audio player, "right" - FM radio, "down" - the phone book, and "right" - allows you to write SMS. Conveniently, all buttons are customizable, so you can assign a function of your choice to each side. The "green" and "red" buttons (by the way, they are not marked with color on the phone), as well as two function keys have changed only the shape, but they are responsible for the same functions.

The keyboard has metal stripes

There are only three connectors on the huge side panel of the phone. On the right side is located Micro-USB, which is used to charge the phone and connect to a computer. Below is a standard USB port that can charge other devices, as well as a 3.5mm headphone jack. This fact is very positive. It was proposed to output the sound using the same Mini-USB that was used for charging and connecting to a computer. We have already recalled the terrible "one-ear" headset of the previous model. The problem was aggravated by the fact that it was problematic to replace it with something else: finding a headset with a Mini-USB connector on sale is another task. Basically, there is no such problem. Even if you don’t like the standard headset, you can find a replacement in any store. True, on the Internet, the author of this material met with the opinion that this connector, although of a standard size, is of some unusual polarity and other headsets will not work with it. We did not have another 3.5mm headset at the time of the test, but regular headphones worked without problems, so most likely everything will be fine with compatibility.

We cannot help but pay attention to one more seemingly minor fact that caused a serious dispute on the user forum. The model had a small flashlight on the top end, which was turned on and off by holding the central button of the pseudo-navipad. For some reason it was removed. The debate is whether this is considered a minus. On the one hand, it’s good when you have a device in your pocket that can somehow shine in the dark, on the other hand, during the test we noticed that the flashlight is single-diode and gives very little light. If you just pull the phone out in your hand and turn on the backlight of the screen, then the light turned out to be no less, so we would not regret the disappearance of the flashlight, especially since the screen has become larger and brighter and in which case you can use its backlight.

Technical features

Like its predecessor, it has the ability to work with two SIM-cards. Two years ago, when it came out, this was a cool feature for a budget phone, but today other inexpensive models already have three SIMs, so you won’t surprise anyone with two. Alas, the work with two SIM cards remained consistent. That is, if you are talking on one, the other is completely blocked at this time. This is not very convenient, but for state employees it is a common phenomenon.

Sims, by tradition, are located behind the battery, and in order to pull them out, the phone must be turned off. Next to the SIM is a slot for a microSD card. The same was with, but its presence in it was doubtful. Multimedia capabilities tended to zero, so why then additional memory. - another thing, it is very convenient to listen to music on it, so the ability to expand the memory is very handy.

Like the first generation model, the most important hardware feature of the phone is the battery. This is the main pride and the main feature of the entire series, which allows you to compete with cheaper models. Already in the battery was 2000 mAh, which, according to the manufacturer, gave 16 hours of talk time and up to 80 (!!!) days in standby mode. Even with active use, it was necessary to charge the phone once every 3-4 weeks. Compare this to smartphones, which, if left unplugged at night, mostly die the next morning.

Dual SIM, memory card and battery

When changing generations, the company's engineers decided: to hit the volume of the battery until the end. By that time, smartphones with a 2900 mAh battery had already appeared in the Xenium line, and it was decided to use it in a budget button. That is, even compared with the long-lived predecessor, the energy reserve has increased by almost one and a half times. It is clear that the consumption of the new model has also increased slightly (if only because of the larger screen), but the autonomy characteristics are even more impressive. Now the talk time is declared by the manufacturer at the level of 40 hours, and in the standby mode - 100 days. How much is enough for real use? With moderate use, you will have to charge the phone once every 4-5 weeks. The author read a very revealing joke on the form of phone users. One of the owners complained that he was constantly losing charge. Still, it is required once a month, and you just have time to forget where you put it last time.

I can't afford a remark. This review was written at a time when the new iPhone 6 was announced. Its top and most expensive version has a battery capacity of ... about 2900 mAh, which caused a sensation among users - what a standalone smartphone. And even if the comparison is not very fair, but the battery has such a volume, but it costs many times less and will survive a dozen (if not more) charged iPhones in terms of autonomy.

Of course, such a large supply of energy may seem redundant to many. But, firstly, the phone is very convenient for travelers and hikers (you don’t need to carry a charger and be afraid that the battery will run out on the way), and secondly, you can transfer your heroic energy reserve to another device via USB.

By the way, we will talk about this useful feature in more detail, where we will consider the basic principles of working with the phone, as well as the features of its interface and software.

The most important virtue is time. Lasted with daily conversations (about 20-30 minutes a day) for 1 month and three days. At first it seemed quiet to me (signals), but after five days I got used to it and already perceive it quite normally. Somewhere they wrote about contacts that need to be transferred manually. The dog knows him, but I’m ready to transfer a thousand contacts for such a long game (more than a month of work) - even in the taiga, even in the jungle, on any trip - you have a connection for at least a month and will never suddenly run out of power.

An ordinary phone with a good battery and two SIM cards.

The most important thing is the battery, it would not be bad to put such batteries in all modern mobile communication devices. Large screen, even very large for feature phones. It is difficult to talk about its quality, however, the first impression of it cannot be called bad. Complaints about bad software can be ignored. For buyers who are not tempted by the possibilities of the most modern gadgets (you know who I mean), phone navigation, 2 SIM cards, functions and even the absence of a camera may seem extremely attractive. Setting the font size, which, by the way, does not change much, ready-made radio and nice plastic can also be considered the advantages of this phone. And, of course, the price. In some online stores, including bonuses, you can buy a phone for less than 2000.

Battery! And once again the battery! Possibility of recharging from the built-in USB connector. Nice design. Big screen. Convenient buttons. Convenient size. The radio works without headphones. The call is loud enough. The volume during a conversation is more than enough. Price! 2360 rub. Lack of cameras and games. Possibility to set automatic on/off. Build quality - nothing dangles, does not depart.

Relatively heavy due to the battery, the software does not allow you to synchronize contacts. Buttons without relief - not tactile.

It may be difficult to find a suitable case, the phone has dimensions that are larger than usual. The device has everything else for a phone of its category (and even more), so there are no more shortcomings or they are insignificant.

Call speaker. A little rattles when playing a melody. I didn't like it at first, but now I don't even notice it. Maybe it doesn't rattle anymore. Inconvenient volume control. When making a call, talking, listening to music in the player and while listening to the radio, you need to change the volume in different ways. For example, I have not yet figured out how to change the volume level while listening to the radio.

there is no black list, no flashlight, no topics, it calls first with SIM1 immediately, but the network just disappeared, and the call went with 2 SIMs, and I'm talking, and the money goes with another card. Now, regardless, I look from which network the call is being dialed

There is no sound rocker on the case.
The buttons on the headset also do not affect the volume.
Doesn't play folders, only from a bunch of files.
Headphones can be immediately thrown away.
There is no camera, which means there is no flashlight.
    On SMS only preset melodies.
Pts a lot of unnecessary manipulations in the menu.
Contacts will not transfer normally. Fuss, it's easier with a SIM card.
    No eyelet for lanyard.

    Until I found how:
    1. transfer contacts;
    2. change / set the ringtone;
    3. connect it to the computer via BT;
Most likely, the inscriptions on the buttons will soon be erased. The unlock star is already noticeably dimmer than the rest of the buttons, and I've only been using it for a few hours.
Those who are used to the brightness and liveliness of the colors on the screen - relax and try to enjoy the relatively faded blue-shifted screen with a depth effect.

An inconvenient menu, a strange list of calls, and most importantly: the silent mode button works only in two profiles: general / silent, respectively, you can’t set a general / meeting (for vibration during a call). Very annoying, since the mode often needs to be switched, and it is inconvenient to do so
