It's hard not to fall in love with a good gaming laptop.
In the race for the thinnest gaming laptop, we've seen a sea of contenders from the MSI GS60 Ghost Pro and . Promises of lighter gaming laptops are tempting, however, the need for portability leaves some machines underpowered, limiting their graphical capabilities.
The ASUS ROG Strix GL502, on the other hand, strikes the perfect balance between portability and performance. In its fairly thick chassis, this 15.6-inch laptop packs a GTX Nvidia 1070 with 8GB of VRAM we're used to seeing in 17-inch laptops like the Gigabyte P57X.
Components and dimensions aside, this gaming laptop shows style from all angles, a colorful screen and a range of essential inputs. ASUS ROG Strix GL502 review more…
Design
ASUS has slowly but steadily moved away from its traditional black and red color scheme that you'll find on most gaming laptops of the past. Instead of red accents, the new GL502 uses orange accents on black. This isn't to say that this solution can compete with the titanium and copper of the ASUS ROG GX700 and ROG G752, but it's a start.
On the other hand, we almost regret that ASUS moved away from the red and black design, as the keyboard continues to use red backlighting.
Aside from the new colors, ASUS has given a major overhaul to the overall profile of its machine, in line with the rest of the ROG series. While the ASUS ROG G501 closely copied the design, the new GL502 offers its own attractive and aggressive design.
A matte screen in an aluminum case is a fairly common solution on gaming laptops, one of which is the Strix. But the GL502 also features a beveled lid with Republic of Gamers signature.
The rest of the chassis is made of plastic, which may seem disappointing at first glance, but it feels solid, just like any other all-metal gaming laptop. What's more, ASUS showcases a polished keyboard deck similar to a laptop's lid.
And here again we see the brand load on the design, the Republic of Gamers signature is featured prominently on the top and bottom of the laptop, but you can't deny there are interesting design elements all over the 15-inch laptop.
Aside from the visuals, the bulk of the Strix's exterior is made of plastic, which helps keep the weight down to 2.22kg. To put it into perspective, the ASUS gaming laptop is over 0.2kg heavier than the Razer Blade and MSI GS60 Ghost Pro, but the Strix offers overpriced specs. There are also heavier 15-inch laptops like Alienware 15 and Gigabyte P35X v5 (2.4kg).
It's also far from the thinnest gaming laptop at 389.9 x 265.9 x 23.4mm (W x D x H) - a substantial chunker than its Maxwell-based predecessor - but the extra dimensions make room for a more efficient system. cooling.
Beware of the explosion!
Ultrathin gaming laptops are not the most popular category. More often than not, they either run hot, roar loud fans, or end up offering underperforming components to prevent previous problems. ASUS is the first company to provide a thin gaming laptop with adequate cooling without any drawbacks.
On the trailing edge of the GL502, you'll find two thick radiators painted orange for added accent. This is a large exhaust system that pumps out a continuous stream of hot air and can be reused as a heater in the winter. Inside, the laptop features ASUS' "Dual Thermal Design" which relies on two separate lines of copper heatpipes and fans to cool the CPU and graphics card.
Thanks to this efficient cooling system, the new GL502 will never burn your knees, however, the fan noise remains within the normal range and is not annoying. Heck, you'll even find a use for the two hot air blasts, like heating up your coffee.
The ASUS ROG Strix GL502 gaming laptop can be configured with various components. But, with a starting price of around $90,000, the laptop is definitely not a budget purchase, even if it's a 1TB hard drive (HDD) and 6GB of VRAM. Even a little cheaper, you can get either a Lenovo IdeaPad Y700, but you'll be limited to an Nvidia GTX 960m for graphics workloads.
The configuration you see below will set you back £110,000, which is a bargain compared to £140,000 for a Razer Blade with a 4K panel.
Specifications ASUS ROG Strix GL502
Performance
The ASUS ROG Strix GL502 is a rock star when it comes to Full HD gaming. In the last few weeks of review, we've been testing the 15-inch laptop as our primary gaming system, and we've been pleased with performance in excess of 60fps in most games, at high graphics settings.
In DOOM, for example, a graphically intense first-person shooter, we were able to crank up the graphics settings to Ultra while maintaining 60 fps. Deus Ex Mankind Divided is the only game to push the Strix to its limit, but this problem stems more from the poor optimization of the PC port than from the ASUS hardware.
Nvidia's next generation of Pascal graphics cards offer significant performance gains and amazing benchmark results.
Benchmarks
Here's how the ASUS ROG Strix GL502 performed on benchmark tests:
And here is how the model based on Maxwell showed itself:
By comparison, we'd like to point out that the Nvidia GTX 1070 graphics card almost doubles the gaming potential of the GL502. Division and GTA V run much faster with better frame rates thanks to Pascal.
Of course, the results shouldn't be surprising, as the Nvidia GTX 1070 comes with a new architecture, offers 2GB more VRAM, and is designed to replace the Nvidia GTX 980m.
Gaming laptops with Nvidia GTX 970m like Aorus X3 v3 and Razer Blade. On 3DMark's toughest gaming benchmarks, Strix doesn't let Maxwell machines even raise their heads.
ASUS also has a much better cooling system, which should be taken into account. The Razer and Aorus are most likely to buckle under heavy benchmarks as a result of cooling restrictions.
Battery problems
And while Nvidia has promised that graphics cards with the new Pascal architecture will be able to offer laptops a 30% improvement in battery life, we don't see anything like that with the ASUS GL502. The latter showed a maximum of 2 hours and 52 minutes of continuous play of Guardians of the Galaxy at 50% screen brightness. As a result, Strix with Pascal consumes battery faster than its predecessor with Maxwell.
Instead of reaching an average of 5 hours and 14 minutes, the GL502 doesn't achieve three hours of battery life, falling short of most other laptops in the category.
In traditional usage, expect to get three to four hours of battery life if you don't push the machine too hard or are prepared to be conservative with screen brightness.
Screen and speakers
And while battery life is a little disappointing, the quality of the GL502's screen and speakers is impeccable. We've been happy with just about every screen from ASUS' Zenbook series to the company's most affordable Chromebooks, but the Strix's color dynamics are on a whole other level.
Color tones are vivid and distinct on the 15-inch screen panel, and rich contrast enhances picture quality.
The visual part is only half. ASUS ROG GL502 sounds great thanks to a pair of amazingly powerful speakers. And while at first glance it looks like small grilles on either side of the keyboard, the speakers are capable of significant sound, conveying the entire cacophony of battle in Overwatch.
Final Thoughts
Efficient cooling has become a major hurdle for thin gaming laptops. And while MSI, Razer, Gigabyte and others haven't tried to crack the conventional formula, ASUS has done an outstanding job of bringing its 15-inch laptop to a portable size while maintaining the performance of larger laptops.
We liked: ASUS ROG Strix GL502 is elegant, but doesn't shout it too openly. Despite the edgy looks, there aren't many other gaming laptops that are as light and thin equipped with an Nvidia GTX 1070 8GB. Even based on the Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB, the laptop is more than capable of playing today's Full HD games. In addition, its incredibly bright screen and powerful speakers help complete the gaming experience with this amazing machine.
We didn't like it A: The biggest issue with this 15-inch gaming laptop is battery life, three to four hours just isn't enough considering its predecessor's six hour battery life. You will have to worry about power, as with other machines that last no more than three hours of battery life.

Summing up
It rarely happens that we are unconditionally impressed with a gaming laptop. Aside from the short battery life, the ASUS ROG Strix GL502 has nothing to complain about. In fact, just about everything else about this laptop is incredible, including a great keyboard, speakers, and a stunning screen with a great Full HD experience. This is one of the best gaming laptops we've ever reviewed and we highly recommend it if you're looking for a solid and mobile gaming system.

9 Overall Score
Verdict:
Asus' first Strix series gaming laptop has become an FHD rock star, complete with an amazing screen and booming speakers to crank up the sound.
Gamers are spoiled people. They always need more. More memory, more powerful processor, better graphics card. If you are an ordinary PC boyar, it’s easier for you - you just took it and upgraded your “beast”. With laptops, things are more complicated. Often a gaming laptop is a huge 5 kg monster, sometimes even with an additional water cooling module.
But Asus has a trick up its sleeve in the form of their ASUS Rog Strix line of compact gaming laptops. At the end of last year, we reviewed the current model. Today we take a look at its successor, a more powerful, new and cool Strix configuration -.
Thanks to TOLOKA coworking for the shooting room:
There are no changes in terms of design. This is the same familiar and painfully familiar ASUS ROG Strix. Bright cover with backlight, orange inserts around the perimeter of the entire case.
According to the materials of the body, everything also remained unchanged. The lid is made of aluminum, which still collects all the dirt and fingerprints. The lower part is made of thick plastic, decorated with a pattern. The cover can still be removed to access the HDD, RAM and SSD M2 slot. To make your laptop feel more confident on the table and not “leave” somewhere during a serious game batch, there are 4 bright orange rubber legs on the sides.
But on the edges there have been changes, albeit small ones. The first visible change, completely incomprehensible to me, was the return of the DVD drive to the laptop. Seriously, who needs a DVD drive in a laptop in 2017? It is located on the right side and shares this place with the castle Kensington and a USB 2.0 port. With USB 2.0, the situation is also not entirely clear, why was it necessary to make all USB 3.0 ports, and one USB 2.0?
On the right side, there is a charging port, an Ethernet port, 2x USB 3.0, USB 3.1 Type C of the first generation and a combined audio jack. The card reader is located on the front end, along with activity indicators and speakers.
Opening the laptop, we see that the new generation ROG Strix has lost the most recognizable feature of any gaming laptop - the dedicated W, A, S, D keys. Now this key block is almost no different from the rest on the keyboard. Also, the speakers disappeared from the front panel. One gets the impression that ASUS decided to save money when releasing a new generation of Strix's. If we continue the theme of the keyboard, then the backlight has also changed. But here, unlike previous changes, ASUS did more correctly. Now the backlight is not monophonic, but four-zone RGB. Unfortunately, a test version of the laptop came to us for a test and there is no backlight in it at all.
But what has not changed at all is the huge bezels around the display. Above the display is still a camera and two microphones, and under the display proudly flaunts the inscription Republic of Gamers.
In review I commended ASUS for not following the trend of putting a 4K display in a 15.6-inch laptop. What they didn't do last year, they did this year. The Asus ROG Strix GL553VE has a 15.6-inch display with a resolution of 3840x2160 pixels.
But such permission is not always available to you. In games and applications, resolution is limited to "Orthodox" Full HD. This was done to increase FPS in games and applications. Question - why all these show-offs, ASUS? This is what I really don't understand. The display itself is of high quality, it is made on the basis of the LG LP156UD1-SPB1 IPS-matrix. The matrix is matte, which minimizes the appearance of any glare. The quality of the display is excellent, there are no complaints about it. It is perfectly calibrated and tuned from the factory.
Although the keyboard has undergone some external changes, in terms of functionality, everything remains the same. The keyboard is also an island type with a separate number pad. The keys have a clear and large travel, the keyboard does not flex when pressed. Above the NumPad is the launch key for ROG Gaming Center.
Under the keyboard there is a touchpad, still excellent in terms of work quality and this time without any backlash. What else is needed for complete happiness?
Since the speakers have become smaller, the sound has changed. It has become not as loud and deep as in last year's model, although it is still of the same quality and cool. In terms of software in the laptop, everything remains the same, so AudioWizard has not gone away and you can still adjust the sound to the situation you need.
As I said, in terms of software, the changes are minimal, so for a complete review, I recommend you read the review, everything is described in great detail there. The only thing I will focus on is the ROG Gaming Center application. The number of functions remains the same. Nothing has been removed and nothing new has been added. The only thing that has changed is the design of the app itself.
In terms of hardware,ASUS ROG Strix GL553VE everything is fine, although in synthetic tests it does not have enough stars from the sky.
Main characteristics:
Looking at the short list of characteristics, it is immediately clear thatGL553VE is a monster in the flesh. Intel Core i7 - 7700HQ Kaby Lake runs at 2.8GHz and can overclock up to 3.8GHzin Turbo mode. The processor itself is made on a 14-nm process technology.
About the video card, and so everything is clear. Unlike previous generations, where there was a mobile version of the video card, inGL553VE installed full discrete graphics card NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti.
The new ROG has a good amount of memory. For data storage, it has two drives: a 512 GB M.2 SSD from Toshiba and a 2 TB Seagate Mobile HDD.
Since the system partition is located on an SSD drive, we tested it “in the tail and mane” and the results were very good. According to CrystalDiskMark, Toshiba's SSD has a read speed of 2472 MB/s and a write speed of 1378 MB/s. The result is impressive.
Let's move on to the processor and overall performance test. In PCMark 10, the laptop scored 3985 points, but while the test is new, there are no comparative ratings with other laptops yet. In 3DMark's Time Spy 1.0 test, the laptop achieved a score of 2394, outperforming just 13% of devices tested. You can see the results of the rest of the tests below.
In terms of games, there are no complaints, but in principle there can be no. Here's just a visual picture in which game how many FPS this monster gave out, all games were launched at the highest possible graphics settings:
I think you will agree that such results are quite acceptable for a laptop.
Autonomy for a gaming laptop is not very important, you see. There seems to be autonomy, but there seems to be none. For comfortable gaming, you will definitely need an outlet, and for office tasks, the battery will be enough. INStrix GL553VE has a 48 Wh battery installed. At maximum load, the battery lasts a little more than 30 minutes of operation. In real conditions of normal use: browsing, movies, etc., one battery charge will last an average of 3 hours. For a full charge, you will need all the same 3 hours.
The ASUS ROG Strix GL553VE is a great addition to the ROG Strix series of gaming laptops, but it's not without its problems. It's still a cool gaming laptop that weighs in at just over 2kg. You do not need to swing your back for half a year to carry it everywhere with you, unlike colleagues in the gaming laptop shop. This is its main advantage.
Today, gaming laptops from ASUS are very popular. They combine an attractive appearance, solid technical stuffing and a reasonable price (although there are also too expensive models that are not available to everyone). Relatively recently, ASUS expanded its line of gaming laptops with the release of the ROG Strix GL753VE. It is to her that we dedicate this review.
This laptop model is sold in a convenient cardboard box. The box has a nice black color. It has the word Strix in two dots in a graceful font. The name of the company is also present (in the lower left corner of the package), although it is written simply and without too much gloss.
The ASUS ROG Strix GL753VE comes with practical minimalism. Inside the box, the user will find:
The second area where the engineers did not spare aluminum is the area around the keyboard and touchpad. The use of metal is justified for two reasons: it makes the design more elegant, and also plays the role of protection against physical damage. The rest of the body is made of matte black plastic. This material perfectly complements the overall picture.
The bottom of the model in question contains ventilation holes. There are rubberized feet at the corners that give the laptop stability. By the way, here the designers also decided to play in contrast by making the legs in orange.
Opening the laptop, the user will see a fairly large monitor in front of him. Frames surround it. On the sides, the thickness of the frames is the same, but at the top it is slightly larger. This is due to the fact that there is a webcam on top, as well as a pair of microphones. The bottom frame is traditionally decorated with the inscription Republic of Gamers.
The power button is quite interesting. Here it is part of the keyboard. The location of this key is at the top right above the numpad. A little to the left of the power button is a branded key, decorated with the ROG logo. Pressing this button activates an application called ROG Gaming Center. This program plays the role of a kind of command center from which you can run other useful applications. In addition, through the Gaming Center, you can easily monitor the status of the system.
However, everything is not limited to programs. To make it easier for the user to monitor the operation of the device, engineers have equipped it with a number of LED indicators. These light bulbs are located on the front edge of the device under the touchpad. LEDs are presented:
Separately, it is worth talking about control devices. The keyboard is membrane. So that during work there were no such incidents as the simultaneous pressing of two adjacent buttons, the distance between them was increased. The button travel is 2.5 millimeters. To press it is necessary to apply a force equal to 65 grams. The dimensions of the keys are quite familiar - 15.5x15.5 mm. The interval between the buttons is 3.5 mm. The color scheme of the keys is also standard. The buttons themselves are made in black, and the alphabetic and numeric characters on them are in white.
The ASUS ROG Strix GL753BE would not be a gaming laptop if its keyboard had not been equipped with a four-zone RGB backlight. It can be configured using the Aura utility. Fortunately, this application is immediately available on the device, so you don’t have to look for it additionally. Typically, another key indicator of a gaming laptop is the allocation of WASD keys. Here it is also there, but, which is extremely pleasant, the designers decided to do without contrast. The side faces of the mentioned buttons are made of white translucent material. Thus, the WASD zone seems to stand out, but still harmoniously fits into the overall design. By the way, the keyboard supports up to 30 simultaneous keystrokes.
The touchpad is represented by a touch surface with dimensions of 105x74 mm. By the way, this area is more correctly called a clickpad, since when you click on the touch area, a button press is simulated. The working area is slightly deepened. Thus, it is separated from the entire keyboard panel.
As for the dimensions, they are quite compact - 415x273x30 mm. This model weighs only 2.8 kg (and this is taking into account the battery). Due to its size and weight, this gadget can be considered a full-fledged laptop, and not a stationary PC stylized as a laptop.
It is worth noting that there are two versions of screens: in the first case, NTSC coverage is 72%. If we talk about other technical properties of the matrix in the maximum configuration, we can highlight the following points:
At the same time, despite such a minor flaw, the monitor is characterized by a quite decent transmission of all displayed shades. The color temperature of the display is at around 6200 K.
And finally, the last worthy quality of the described screen - it has wide viewing angles - 178 degrees. No matter how the user looks at the monitor (from the side or from above), he will see the picture clearly enough.
In the younger configuration, viewing angles are smaller, and NTSC coverage is only 45%.
Well, a kind of cherry on the cake is a modern cooling system called Cooling Overboost. It allows you to adjust the fan speed. This is an extremely important point, because the user will squeeze the maximum out of the coolers only when it is really necessary. According to the assurances of the developers, Cooling Overboost will be able to maintain the highest performance of technical elements at any level of their load.
As for the functional connectors, this laptop is equipped with everything you need:
A very obvious characteristic of this device is that it plays almost all formats of music and movies. The only thing that the Asus ROG Strix GL753VE cannot do is optimally play videos in Ultra HD quality (although this cannot be considered a serious sin yet).
But a pleasant surprise for gamers over 20 years old will be the presence of an optical disc drive. It would seem that this is so? It's all about the desire of some avid players to collect disc collections of games. Having a DVD player, they will be able to buy games on physical media, replenishing their "stocks". So to speak, a trifle, but nice (at least for someone).
As you can see, the autonomy indicators of this model are far from ideal, although this phenomenon is considered normal for gaming laptops.
The price of ASUS ROG Strix GL753VE in Russia is approximately 85,670 rubles. The indicated cost is an average. The exact price depends on the point of sale and the installed technical stuffing.
In the following video presentation, you can learn more about the package and design of the device:
A wireless gaming headset compatible with PCs, smartphones and consoles looks like a gamer's pipe dream. Large speakers with a wide dynamic range, a sensitive microphone, a comfortable headband, and of course rich connectivity options. It's no joke, ASUS ROG Strix Wireless can be connected to an audio source both using the supplied AUX cable and via radio (transmitter, of course, included). And among the compatible devices are even game consoles: PS4 and Xbox One. This brief description looks very attractive, so let's figure out what ASUS ROG Strix Wireless is and how good it is in real life, and not in advertising slogans.
ASUS ROG Strix Wireless has two connection options: via a 2.4 GHz radio channel and using the bundled cable. The wireless connection is perfect for PC or MAC computers and laptops, and the cable can be used to connect headsets to game consoles and smartphones. However, the same method can be connected to a PC or Mac. And in general, to any device that has an audio output with a diameter of 3.5 mm. In addition, ASUS ROG Strix Wireless has two antennas for improved wireless audio transmission and interference suppression. Still, we are talking about the 2.4 GHz frequency popular among most wireless devices, so additional antennas will come in handy here.
Headset software can add some volume to the sound. Of course, the ROG Strix Wireless has only 2 speakers inside, so with true 7.1 headsets, it will not be able to compete - like all other headphones with virtual surround sound. But having such an option would be a nice plus. Yes, and the stock, as they say, does not pull the pocket.
A wireless headset is certainly good and modern, but charging it every few hours is very inconvenient. Therefore, a 900 mAh battery is installed inside the ASUS ROG Strix Wireless, which should be enough for 10 hours of operation. In short, these headphones can play all day and charge them at night.
A detachable microphone will always be a great bonus to any headset. With it, you can not think about whether it is included or not. The microphone disconnected from the headset will certainly not transmit sound, and will relieve paranoid doubts. By the way, its leg is long and flexible so that the microphone can be placed in the right place after connecting to the headset.
The headset comes in a classic transparent box for ASUS ROG, through which you can see the coveted headphones. Inside, in addition to the ASUS ROG Strix Wireless itself, there is an instruction manual, a 1.5 meter AUX cable, as well as a USB transmitter and a charging cable.
Headset ASUS ROG Strix Wireless is made in a bright, black and orange tones. Previously, before the ROG and Strix lines merged together, all the “strixes” sported bright and noticeable orange inserts, and ASUS ROG devices stood out with red red inserts. However, you should not consider ASUS ROG Strix Wireless as an old woman, because audio equipment is not processors with video cards, and over the years it almost does not become obsolete. So, on the outside of ROG Wireless, round inserts located in the center of the cups are highlighted in orange. Considering that the cups in their shape resemble the menacing look of the owl, the symbol of the Strix line, the headset lying on the table will look spectacular and a little ominous.
Large cups contain not only orange “pretty things”. On the left cup are the headset control keys (volume control, microphone on / off and Power). On the bottom you can see the MicroUSB connector (for charging), microphone input and 3.5mm audio jack for AUX cable. But on the right cup there are no controls. Only the Republic Of Gamers logo is located there.
The inner surface of the cups is finished with soft ear cushions that can cover even large ears, which adds to the comfort of the headset. Inside each cup is hidden under a single speaker with a rare earth neodymium magnet - such magnets are often found in ASUS ROG headsets and other expensive audio accessories from other brands. Headband - "dimensionless", with inserts of "smart foam". This material is softer than its not very smart counterparts, it can keep its shape and return to its original state if you remove the headset. Simply put, the inside of the headband will not lose shape over time.
With large cups and a padded headband, the headset sits comfortably on your head, and with soft ear cushions and a headband with smart foam, ROG Wireless won't press where it shouldn't be. You can play, work or listen to music in such a headset for hours - until the powerful, 10-hour battery runs out. In addition, if you remove the ASUS ROG Strix Wireless and leave the headset on your neck, it will not cause discomfort, even despite its size.
Judging by the technical characteristics, during the development of ASUS ROG Strix Wireless, the manufacturer sought to achieve a delicate balance between the filling and the final cost of the product. A high-quality headset with a pleasant sound cannot be cheap in itself, and the built-in wireless module will not reduce the final price in any way. However, ASUS ROG Strix Wireless turned out to be balanced. Inside it are large 60 mm speakers with neodymium magnets, with a frequency response from 20 to 20,000 Hz and an impedance of 32 ohms. The detachable microphone turned out to be highly directional, so it will not broadcast keyboard clatter and other extraneous sounds. Unless, of course, they are so loud that a highly focused microphone can pick them up. The sensitivity of the microphone is -40 dB, and the frequency response is from 50 to 16,000 Hz.
To fine-tune the headset, use the Sonic Studio utility, which can be downloaded from the manufacturer's website. In this program, you can flexibly adjust voice transmission, turn on surround sound, reverb effect, boost bass and - in a separate place - play with equalizer settings. Moreover, all settings are collected in one window, you don’t have to switch between endless submenus.
The ASUS ROG Strix Wireless headset has been tested in several modes: listening to music, watching videos, and of course, in games.
The Tubular Beats album by Michael Oldfield was selected for music testing. This album contains many different instruments that sometimes sound in one composition. Here, the ROG Wireless performed well. No overload was observed at low frequencies, the middle was clearly audible, but the headphones lacked high frequencies. However, this drawback is small and it occurs in almost all gaming headsets. Still, playing music for them is considered a secondary task. By the way, when connecting headphones wirelessly, you can use ASUS' proprietary utility to improve the quality of music. For example, you can work with the lower frequencies using the Bass Boost parameter. For rap, rock, and other heavy music, the bass can be increased by 3.5 or 4.5 dB. For classics, they can be raised by 1.5 or 2.5 dB. If you do not like low frequencies (bass), the amplifier can be completely turned off.
In films, ROG Wireless performed noticeably better. Here, the "tops" are not as important as the rest of the frequencies, so you can watch videos in such a headset without any problems. Explosions, shooting, the roar of car engines and other dynamic sounds will sound best.
Now let's move on to games. In this test, ROG Wireless was revealed in its entirety. The headset perfectly conveyed the sounds of shots, explosions, and also helped to hear sneaking up opponents. Shooters, racing, strategy - ROG Wireless can handle all game genres. As for virtual surround sound, in games it can be seen more as an entertainment option. This is the limitation of all headsets with one speaker in each cup. Of course, ASUS software will try its best to give volume to the sound, and it will even succeed, but a full-fledged headset with surround sound will always be better than its software counterpart. However, these headphones will cost a lot.
