PART 1 INTRODUCTION
White's introduces the new Spectra v3i metal detector, the latest in metal detecting technology. The V3i is based on a high-performance ARM-9 RISC microprocessor that simultaneously analyzes signals from three transmitted frequencies. These frequencies - 2.5 kHz, 7.7 kHz and 22 kHz - were chosen for their differences in response when interacting with a variety of metal targets, resulting in a high-quality analysis and target identification system.
The main part of the V3i is a stunning 320 x 240 color screen with an easy-to-use, menu-driven interface. Along with three frequencies, the instrument features three search modes and five analytical screens that provide more detailed target characterization than previously possible. With ease of use suitable for beginners and depth of configuration to satisfy the most advanced user, the V3i is a metal detector for everyone.
This manual is designed to provide a gradual introduction to the instrument to minimize information overload for the user. If you are new to searching, the Quick Start menu will allow you to quickly learn how to use the device. If you want to get acquainted with the new functions of the device in more detail, read the instructions carefully and get more information.
If you are already familiar with the latest metal detector models (especially the menu interface), you can read the “Quick Start” section to quickly understand the features of the device. The graphical interface of the device makes other settings clear and easy to use.
The V3i metal detector is easy to use, it has more features than other metal detectors released before, which at first glance may seem like a significant obstacle in learning them. But that's not true. Start working in the field with the installed factory programs, and then move on your own way - because... To get good results, you don’t need to know all the capabilities of the device, and all your changes in programs are easily restored to the original level.

Legend
When discussing the characteristics of the V3i, we will use the Arial-Bold-Caps font to distinguish between keyboard keys and menu selections. For example, "press Enter" means to press the Enter key on the keyboard, and "select Enable" could mean "select an Enable menu option, such as using the arrow keys, highlight it, then press ENTER." The V3i's keys and menus are similar to the graphical interface of modern computers, so working with them is somewhat intuitive.
In some cases, you will need to use multiple key combinations or switch trigger combinations. “Press MENU,ENTER” means press and release the MENU key, then press and release the ENTER key. The combination “Press MENU+ENTER” means press and hold the MENU key, while holding it down, press the ENTER key. The MENU+ENTER command is not the same as ENTER+MENU. If you find that you accidentally pressed the wrong key or combination of keys, pressing the trigger switch towards you will return you to the starting position.
Two of the V3i keyboard keys have dual meanings. MENU/TAB is used as a key to enter the menu system and also to move from one screen to the next. This method is identical to how a personal computer interface is used. So in some cases we will ask you to press MENU, in others we will ask you to press TAB. This is the same key. The ZOOM/VIEW keys work in the same way. Additionally, the V3i has four arrow keys. They may also be labeled UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT (or UP DN LT RT), or represented by the ↓ ← → icons. You can choose any of these options.

Most menus are nested, so instead of telling you to select Expert Menu, then select Configure menu, then select Live Search Screen, then select Analysis, then select Sizing, then select Screen Top, we simply say: select Expert Menu → Configure → Live Search Screen → Analysis → Sizing → Screen Top. This means that you need to go the entire specified path. In addition, there is a trigger switch underneath the adapter. It can be in the normal (central) position, pressed towards itself and briefly pressed away from itself. When we say “pull the trigger,” we mean placing the trigger in a momentarily pulled position and releasing it. If we say “Pull/hold the trigger”, we need to press it back and hold it, for example, in connection with the press key. For example, the command “Pull/hold the trigger and press ENTER” can be designated “Trigger+ENTER”.
Device layout
The V3i interface consists of a keyboard and a color screen. Below is a picture of the front side of the adapter with the default search screen settings (i.e. factory settings).

The search screen has 4 main areas
1. Target Information - Target information includes Target VDI number, Target Depth, and Icons indicating a possible target.
2. Spectrogram - The Spectrogram shows the signal strength compared to the video device interface and gives a detailed view of the video device interface response (SpectpaGraph).
3. Status Bar - The Status Bar shows several operational information points (Disc.Mask,Status Bar).
4. Panel (line) of control elements - The panel of control elements provides real-time access to operating modes and settings parameters (Live Control Menus). All of the above is discussed in detail in the following parts.

The basis of work is at Very Low Frequencies (VLF).
The V3i is a multi-frequency bridge for measuring the inductance of the very low frequencies that a metal detector transmits and receives. It has much more user customizable search modes than any other metal detector in the world, and to understand the meaning of a particular setting, you need to have at least a minimal understanding of how a metal detector works.
The metal detector is based on the principle of induction, discovered by Michael Faraday in 1831. A typical metal detector, operating as a multi-frequency inductance bridge, uses a transmit coil to transmit an electrical magnetic field that interacts with a nearby metal target, and the receive coil detects these minor reactions. The so-called induction-balanced coil device prevents the target response signal in the receiving coil from being suppressed by the emitted signal from the transmitting coil, allowing very weak signals from a metal target to be detected.
Phase and Virtual Device Interface (VDI).
Almost all low frequency induction metal detectors operate as a phase detector (the received signal is converted to phase, and the phase is a strong indication of what the target may be). The specific phase of a target can change with the frequency of the transmitted signal, so different detectors manufactured to use different frequencies may show completely different phase results. To avoid having to study all these different phase response scales, Whites decided to standardize them into one standard VDI scale. Therefore, a US 5 cent coin found by a 6 kHz detector will have the same VDI as found by a 15 kHz detector. For historical reasons, the standard VDI scale is based on the 6.592 kHz detector. Below is the standard VDI scale

The first practical metal detector based on an inductance bridge was made by Alexander H. Bell, who thus tried to determine the position of an assassin's bullet stuck in the body of US President James Garfield. He was unable to do this due to lack of sensitivity. Since then, increasing sensitivity has become the goal of every metal detector.
The ability to separate targets by VDI is what allows the detector to differentiate between different targets. Targets with a negative VDI are usually iron, while targets with a positive VDI are non-ferrous. Small gold items tend to have a low VDI, while thick silver coins tend to have a high VDI. Other targets such as cupro-nickel coins, bronze and brass, and aluminum scrap may have the widest range of VDI depending on alloy, size, thickness. This means that you will have to use your own "detector" - your brain - to understand what your device is telling you. We'll look at VDI values below.
Response signal from the ground
Unfortunately, the metal in the ground is not the only thing the detector “sees” in the ground. Most soils contain iron oxide minerals, which look like a target to the detector. (In this manual we refer to signals from mineralized soil (including salts) as “ground signal” or “ground response”). For VDI, virtually all mineralized soils fall into the extreme negative ranges of the scale, even beyond most iron targets. But they can change slightly, as shown in the gray sector of the diagram. In most places the changes are small, so you can set the balance at a certain point and it will be almost the same for the entire area, although in some areas the difference can be significant.
Many areas have enough mineralization to create a strong enough ground signal, often stronger than a moderately deep target. The VDI diagram on the previous page uses vectors to indicate individual target responses, and the angle of the vector indicates the VDI value. We can also use the vector length to represent the intensity of the target's response, and a strong signal from the ground together with a weak signal from the coin might look like this:

The resulting signal may look like a signal from a large iron target rather than a 25 cent coin. This is a serious drawback of the older generation TR detectors. Fortunately, since the VDI response from the soil is usually far from the response we need, this problem is quite solvable. In modern metal detectors operating at Very Low Frequencies, the receiver determines that part of the signal is coming from the ground and, using special filters, normalizes the entire IED scale to the normal response signal from the ground, which results in an ignored signal from the ground. Graphically it looks like this:

Manual ground balance
The V3i's Manual Ground Balance system has a fast tracking mode that creates balance between the system and soil conditions within 20 seconds of activation. If you do not start searching within 20 seconds or if the soil is too difficult, the unit may not balance the system properly and you will need to perform a manual ground balance. For this:

Press/hold the trigger, then press/hold ENTER.
Place the measuring coil at a height of 3 - 20 cm above the ground so that the background sound becomes stable (usually 4-6 times). Make sure you do this over an area clear of targets.
Release ENTER, then release Trigger and begin searching.
Tip: If you release the Trigger before ENTER, the V3i will switch the screen to dot mode. To search, simply double-click Trigger.
Manual balancing in this sequence can be carried out at any time during the search. Once the initial balance is completed, V3i will automatically track major typical changes in soil content.
Tip: If the V3i has an erratic sound when the coil probes the ground, check the ground balance.

Good health to all diggers and more interesting finds. Today we have a review of a professional-level metal detector - Whites Spectra V3I, among diggers they are simply called Spectra. Of course, Whites is not as famous as, for example, Minelab or Garrett, but this does not prevent it from producing powerful metal detectors that are in no way inferior to their famous brothers. On this blog, I try to conduct reviews of metal detectors, some I have tried myself, and some have been told about by comrades with whom I communicate not only in real life, but also in the virtual.

It was from the Internet, through ICQ, that I learned about Spectrum, when my friend (Kolyan, hello) complained to me that his old Aka Sorex could not stand up to competition with more powerful devices, which, they say, everyone bought and “teared” even E-trucks. I asked what kind of metal detector this is that can “pull” the track. And Kolyanych told me that this is Spectra V3I. He says that the Specks retrieved the fields knocked out by E-tracks and found a lot of finds. So you need to take a closer look at what kind of metal detector this is and what makes it “cool”. Go.

The first thing I immediately realized that the device was most likely “cool” was its price :) It costs 60 thousand rubles plus or minus. Already at the price it becomes clear that the internal filling will be healthy, which means there will be a greater detection depth and an excellent discriminator.

The metal detector is three-frequency, can work on three at once or on each separately. You can configure it yourself depending on the conditions of the cop. Frequencies - 2.5 KHz (deep), 7.5 KHz (standard) and 22.5 (high frequency). If the device operates at three frequencies at once, it perfectly detects both large targets and very small ones. Judging by the reviews on digging forums, Spectra can see scales at a distance of 25-27 cm; I have never seen such a depth in any metal detector yet. Spectra picks up ordinary large coins (Lizin’s and Katya’s nickels) from an unrealistic depth of 65-70 cm. Naturally, this is with optimal settings for the detector on the ground.

The quality of the discriminator corresponds to the high price, now you will dig up less rubbish. There are a bunch of factory programs, like - turned it on and started swinging the club. The most used is Coins (coins), this program is aimed only at searching for coins, it perfectly cuts off ferrous metal and even such dirty tricks as Coca-Cola labels. It's great to dig with this program on the beach. Or, for example, Coins and Jewelry - also good for the beach and finding jewelry. However, there is a program purely for the beach - Salty Beach, the name speaks for itself - this is a search on highly mineralized soil, a salty beach is just such a place. In addition to the standard settings, there are a bunch of custom ones, as the diggers write, a couple of weeks of digging is enough to fully master the detector. That is, this is a metal detector for those who like to tinker with the settings and ultimately get an excellent discriminator and maximum search depth. And if you set everything up, then any metal detector will tear the Specter.

2 types of menus - basic and for advanced ones, as mentioned above, inexhaustible potential for improving the search qualities of the device. I won’t go into too much detail here, because I’ll have to write a lot. It’s better to watch the video at the end of the article, it will become much clearer.

Some dry characteristics:
3 search frequencies
Powered by 8 AA batteries, runs for approximately forty hours from one set.
Weight - 2 kilograms 100 grams (too heavy of course)
Standard 10" DD reel
Branded headphones included (you can buy wireless ones)
The detector screen is high-resolution color LSD (soon it will be possible to watch films on the devices while you have a smoke break :-))
Bleutooth - for connecting with wireless headphones
USB port (very soon metal detectors will become multimedia devices :-))

Recommendations for purchase are definitely only for those who have used other metal detectors before and have at least the slightest idea of concepts such as frequency, mineralization, and ground balance. Whites Spectra V3I is a device for professionals who have already smelled gunpowder. Even such “experienced” treasure hunters spend a lot of time to fully understand the device and taste all the delights of a digger, when you follow other diggers (no matter what kind of metal detector they have) and pick up coins after them one after another. For such moments, I don’t feel sorry for any money :) Still, the feeling of superiority is a weak trait of all humanity, not all of them, of course, but the majority. And with Spectra you can feel this and really increase the number of finds. However, it will take quite a bit of fieldwork to fully understand the device.

The device competes with the same “cool” professional models:

XP Deus
Minelab Explorer E-Trek

Of the minuses, we note only the location of the battery compartment, it is located under the elbow, just like the one, however, the Spectra does not have the ability to hang the battery compartment on the belt, for example. It turns out that the weight of the detector is really large, swinging a two-kilogram device is really difficult, especially if you walk all day. The arm will fall off one hundred percent.

Otherwise, this is an excellent professional-level metal detector that is worth the money and, if handled skillfully, is guaranteed to recoup that investment. Pay attention if you are looking for a “cool” metal detector. Spectra is cool, no doubt about it.

The video below is a high-quality review of the detectors by professionals.

Whites Spectra V3i is a computerized ground metal detector that has high technical characteristics and wide settings that will be appreciated by experienced users. If you do not have much experience with metal detectors or are just a beginner, then Spectra V3i has ten pre-installed search programs. With their help, you can immediately find valuable items or ancient artifacts without wasting time studying this or that parameter. You can customize and edit any program as you wish, right on the fly, focusing on your immediate search needs. All settings of the metal detector are summarized in a convenient menu, where 25 basic functions and 30 additional ones are available to you.

To recognize the type of metal of a detected target, the Whites Spectra V3i has a numerical VDI conductivity coefficient, an audio multi-tone response, a symbol of the detected object is displayed, as well as a signature graph, a hodograph and various graphic analyzers. The metal detector provides you with maximum information about the detected target, which will allow you to dig up only valuable finds, bypassing garbage.

Metal detector Whites Spectra V3 uses 3 frequencies in its work:

  • 22.5 kHz frequency is used to search for gold and nickel
  • Frequency 2.5 kHz - used for searching for silver and copper
  • Frequency 7.5 kHz - used to search for other metals

The Whites Spectra V3i metal detector uses three search frequencies (2.5 kHz, 7.5 kHz and 22.5 kHz) for searching, which can work together or separately. Through the user menu, you can independently set the active frequency or frequencies depending on your search needs. Thus, a frequency of 2.5 kHz will allow you to find deep targets made of highly conductive metals, and 7.5 kHz is suitable for universal searching. Using a search frequency of 22.5 kHz, the metal detector will be more sensitive to small items, as well as gold. Using three frequencies simultaneously will allow you to effectively conduct both a beach search and an antique search. In addition to three search frequencies, Spectra V3i has the ability to slightly shift the operating frequency (FREQUENCY OFFSET) in a positive or negative direction. This function will be useful to you when the metal detector is affected by the operation of another device. Remember that after shifting the frequency you need to adjust the sensitivity and perform ground balancing.

Structurally, the Whites Spectra V3i metal detector is assembled on an S-shaped rod consisting of three parts. The search coil is attached to the lower rod using a connecting plastic bolt. The lower part is inserted into the curved middle rod and secured using spring buttons and a collet clamp. There are adjustment holes on the middle rod, with which you can set the desired length of the metal detector. The upper part of the rod carries a pistol grip, on which the control and visualization unit of the metal detector is mounted. On the same bar there is an armrest with a soft padding inside and a fixing strap. The electronics unit is located under the armrest. The upper part of the rod is fixed with the middle one in the same way. When assembled, the Spectra V3i weighs just over two kilograms. Despite its weight, the metal detector has a perfectly balanced design, which will allow you to use the detector for a long time with maximum comfort.

Whites Spectra V3i is equipped with a color LCD display with good resolution. The image is clear on it, so the values are good and easy to read. There are eight control buttons below the display. So, use the button labeled ON OFF to turn the device on or off. To get to the main menu for setting up the metal detector, press the button with the corresponding MENU inscription. After pressing it, six categories typical for the detector appear on the display. Using the four keys located in the middle of the button row with the image of multi-directional arrows, move the cursor through the menu items and sub-items.
Use the ENTER button to confirm your selection. And by pressing the ZOOM VIEW button, increase the text size and detail the menu. There is a three-position trigger on the back of the unit that is easy to press and hold with your index finger. With its help, control the entrance to the menu, the transition from the menu to the operating mode, and also activate the pinpoint mode. During the search, the color display of the Spectra V3i displays the vdi value in the upper part, icons in the form of a target prototype, and to the right - the depth of the object. In the central part of the screen you will see a signagrographic plotting of the graph.
In pinpoint mode, the display will show the depth of the target and three signal intensity bars, which will help you quickly determine the center of the object. On the electronics unit, located under the armrest, there are connectors for connecting the search coil and headphones. There is an external speaker on the top of the unit, and a battery compartment cover on the rear end. The metal detector runs on 8 AA batteries or a NiMH battery. Spectra V3i is protected against damage to power supplies by deep discharge. If you do not press a button or trigger within 30 minutes, the metal detector will turn off on its own. You don't need to worry about the batteries in the device if you suddenly forget to turn off the metal detector.

The Whites Spectra V3i metal detector is equipped with a 10-inch DD coil. Its size and shape will help you find both a small coin and a large artifact at a sufficient depth. Conduct your search not only on land, but also in abundant dew, shallow water, puddles, and streams. After all, the Spectra V3i's coil is hydro-insulated, so it can be submerged in water. You can also install another search coil on the Whites Spectra V3i metal detector. It won’t be difficult for you to purchase one of these, but of a different geometric shape and size, since there is a sufficient variety of coils for the Spectra V3i on the market.

Whites Spectra Vision V3i– a professional metal detector that embodies all the latest technologies in the field of instrument search. This detector allows you to search for targets with good results in terms of depth, discrimination, accuracy and ease of use. The most important distinctive features of the V3i are a color display, multilingual (Russian), three operating frequencies, BlueTooth and USB.

The metal detector, like almost all similar devices, is equipped with a liquid crystal screen with high image quality, and in this parameter it is considered the first among all models existing today. The screen is color, and also has a Russian-language interface, which is an undoubted and very significant advantage for seekers of our country.
The VDI numbers are quite large and clearly visible even from a distance, so visual discrimination is very convenient here. The device uses a three-frequency search scheme, and the find can be determined by the sinograph at all frequencies simultaneously. The user can enlarge the image and indicate the find.
The difference between this model and many other metal detectors from leading manufacturers is the ability to work with wireless headphones, and the stereo sound in them is of sufficient quality to correctly recognize the sound and identify the category of metal.

The metal detector is perfect for users with any amount of experience, and even those who are going searching for the first time. Beginners can easily cope with the settings, interface and adjustments. In addition, they have preset search modes that are suitable for use in any possible situation.
Each parameter of the metal detector can be configured based on your wishes, and this will appeal to experienced searchers. The search process can begin immediately after switching on, since it is initially configured to search for valuable things.

You can identify a find using a three-step scheme: search – analysis – target designation. Eight soil filters will allow the device to work perfectly and show good results on soil with any degree of mineralization. It will cope well with searching even in a very littered area.
The White’s spectra vision v3i search device has many very significant advantages, including a convenient menu in Russian and display of the signal as a graphic vector. The user can enter information about the coil used in the menu, increase the efficiency of the device and improve the search depth indicators, and record the type of soil.
If you are searching for gold in the form of nuggets, it would be a good idea to carry out a reconnaissance scan, which is possible with a metal detector. The menu has a built-in special help system that will make learning and using the device even easier and more understandable.
This metal detector model combines innovative technologies and time-tested systems.

When creating projects, White’s developers always take into account the recommendations and feedback of professionals who are interested in even more useful finds and, of course, enjoying the process itself.
The company can rightfully be proud of the new model of metal detector, since it uses many new developments and is in many ways superior in quality to similar devices from other manufacturers. All of its programs are ready to work and to search for the best targets: coins, jewelry, relics. It has excellent discrimination, a good degree of sensitivity and is very comfortable to work with. Today this is the only metal detector that is equipped with a menu in different languages, a color monitor and multi-stage display settings (12 positions).

Display:

The Whites Spectra Vision V3i color display provides information on each of the three operating frequencies. The analyzer displays a graph of target information and power level for each frequency.

The menu consists of six blocks with a user-friendly interface, which makes it easy to set up and start searching with a metal detector. Sensitivity, discrimination, ground balance and sound settings are easily set through the menu. The display also has an adjustable backlight with 20 brightness levels.

You can select one of several factory programs to work with:

  • Coin
  • Coin and Jewelry
  • Deep Silver (Deep silver, search for scales)
  • High Trash (Mode for working in trashy areas)
  • Hi-Pro (Minimal audio clipping. Display used for target identification - very high signal strength levels)
  • Meteorite (Detects nickel/iron meteorites when operating at negative VDI values. Most other targets will be discriminated against)
  • Mixed Mode Pro (Combines the sound settings of the discrimination modes and all metals with the settings of the Hi Pro program. The most suitable program for archaeological searches)
  • Prospecting (Exploration, search for gold - nuggets and sand)
  • Relic (Relics, archeology)
  • Salt Beach

Frequencies:

The metal detector has three frequencies, which can work both simultaneously and separately - it all depends on the search mode and user settings.

Operating frequencies are as follows:

  • 2.5 kHz is the most optimal frequency for searching for highly conductive metals (for example, silver or copper)
  • 7.5 kHz – common frequency typically used for All Metal searches
  • 22.5 kHz is the optimal frequency for searching for low-conductivity metals and small objects (made of metals, such as nickel or gold)

A very useful feature during joint searches and at meetings was the ability to tune out other detectors. For this purpose, an operating frequency shift is applied. This function allows you to turn off unwanted external signals using a positive/negative bias. There are 5 steps available in each direction. Shifts are applied to single or combined frequencies.

When changing frequencies, it is necessary to adjust the sensitivity and re-ground balance.

For advanced users there is an Expert Menu, where it is possible to make more in-depth settings.

Data transfer:

The Whites Spectra Vision V3i metal detector uses a wireless data transmission system using BlueTooth technology. Now, when searching, you can forget about dangling wires from your headphones - with the Spectra V3i you can use wireless BlueTooth headphones. In addition, you can connect the detector to another device (for exchanging programs) or a computer either via USB or BlueTooth.

However, Whites engineers did not deprive users and left a standard headphone jack and built-in speaker.

Whites Spectra Vision V3i can rightfully be considered one of the best metal detectors. It is equipped with the world's first color display, which displays information about the operation of the metal detector, in particular, about three frequencies. Using a special program, the display shows information about the find and the power level for all frequencies.

The menu includes 6 blocks with a clear interface, which makes it possible to quickly adjust settings and start searching. Sensitivity, discrimination, ground balancing and audio signal are easily adjusted using the menu. The screen is backlit with a choice of one of 20 brightness levels.

The metal detector offers several different search modes. Coin mode is designed for searching for coins, Coin and Jewelry – for coins and jewelry, Deep Silver – for deep-lying silver and flakes, High Trash is suitable for searching in littered areas. Hi-Pro mode has the lowest sound rejection of debris. The target is determined using the display because the signal is very strong.

In Meteorite mode, the detector detects nickel and ferrous meteorites using negative VDI numbers. At the same time, the bulk of other goals are discriminated against.

Mixed Mode Pro allows you to combine the Sound Discrimination and All Metal settings with the Hi Pro settings. This program is perfect for conducting archaeological searches.

Prospecting mode is designed to search for gold in its natural form - in sand or nuggets. The Relic program is good for searching for relics, and Salt Beach is good for conducting beach searches.

The metal detector has three frequencies for operation, and can use each separately or all three simultaneously. This depends on the selected search mode and settings. The detector uses the following frequencies. The 2.5 kHz frequency is good for searching for highly conductive metals, such as copper or silver. 7.5 kHz is used for searching in the “all metal” mode. The frequency of 22.5 kHz is designed for effective search for metal with poor conductivity and small objects (gold, nickel).

Whites always pays close attention to detail. Experienced searchers will definitely appreciate this metal detector’s ability to tune out extraneous interference produced by other metal detectors. This is possible due to a shift in the operating frequency: shifting it to one side (positive or negative). The signal can be shifted five positions in both directions. You can shift combined and single frequencies. In this case, you need to remember to adjust the sensitivity and perform another ground balancing. There is also an Expert Menu, which is designed for more in-depth settings. This feature will certainly be appreciated by advanced treasure hunters. This model features BlueTooth wireless technology for data transfer. A very pleasant surprise for those who prefer to work with headphones is the opportunity to do without wires that interfere with the process. Now wireless headphones are connected to the metal detector. Although for adherents of traditional familiar search methods there is a jack for regular headphones, as well as a speaker. Using a USB port or BlueTooth, the device can be connected to a computer or even another metal detector.

The innovative technologies implemented in the new metal detector are three frequencies, data about which is displayed using a graphic analyzer on the screen and during target designation. The multi-color monitor allows you to customize the color palette, increasing contrast for a more convenient beach search.

Wireless headphones were developed specifically for this model of metal detector, and therefore are ideal for working with it. Provide the user with the clearest possible sound and can work one at a time or both at the same time. The audio channel can be changed to cancel out interference. Ten well-thought-out programs will allow you to definitely find something valuable and useful. You can expect the best results when using three frequencies simultaneously.

The metal detector settings can be changed quickly, and you do not need to go into the menu again. Search options appear at the bottom of the screen. The menu itself is divided into 6 groups, which greatly simplifies the process of studying the capabilities of the detector.

The metal detector is equipped with a double 10-inch coil, which makes it possible to explore a large area and eliminate the influence of soil mineralization. In the menu you can enter personal and contact information of the owner, protecting them with a password. The search engine can choose the filtering level itself, which includes eight values in the range of 9-12.5 Hz. Accepted and rejected items are indicated on the display in green and red colors respectively. The signal from the target is processed by the device at a speed of 200 values.

The device's power sources are eight rechargeable NiMh batteries. As for the detection depth, the USSR sees a five-kopeck coin from 40 cm, and this is quite a lot. The maximum possible sensitivity in air is approximately one and a half meters. The device operates according to the VLF scheme. The salt compensator function allows you to automatically select the most suitable operating frequency for the soil condition. It eliminates the influence of the conductivity of salt when searching on the beach or alkali when working in the desert.

The pinpoint program makes it possible to most accurately understand where an object is located. A special indicator will tell you at what depth the desired target is located. Sensitivity and threshold tone can be adjusted. The assembled, ready-to-use Whites Spectra Vision V3i search device weighs only 1.6 kg. The metal detector kit includes, in addition to the device itself, consisting of a rod, a control unit and mounting, a 10-inch DD coil, wireless headphones and an instruction manual.

The computerized control system with a color display includes adjustments to almost all search parameters that a professional treasure hunter can imagine.

Metal detector capabilities:

The classic design and perfect balance of Whites instruments allow you to search with maximum comfort.

High technical characteristics and ample customization options make it possible to perform effective searches in any, even the most difficult conditions.

The most versatile multi-frequency metal detector, the frequencies of which can operate simultaneously without changing the working coil.Graphic analysis is carried out for each frequency separately.

Wireless headphones increase comfort while searching.

Unique discrimination capabilities allow you to almost always determine what is under the coil.

It is possible to select a menu in Russian.

The metal detector has eleven pre-installed search programs:

Any of them can be reconfigured and edited at your discretion. Unlike the standard Whites design, all device settings are summarized in a convenient menu. Customization can be done using 25 basic functions and 30 additional ones.
Using the wireless transfer program, you can transfer created programs and settings from one V3i metal detector to another V3i metal detector.

Metal recognition is carried out using the VDI coefficient, audio multi-tone discrimination, conventional object icon, signagraph, hodograph and various graphic analyzers.

The signaturegraph is a unique feature of older Whites models, including the . It is a set of cursors of different sizes at the bottom of the display and allows you to quite accurately determine what kind of object is under the coil. Information is presented for each frequency separately.
