We rested in Feliz Verano (Koktebel) in August 2019, it was the worst vacation in my life! My comparisons are based on the experience of 2016, we also lived in a 3 * hotel in the Crimea in Alushta, so I consider my review objective. From the positive: a swimming pool on the territory of the hotel with a daily change of water, proximity to the sea, modern interior and design uncharacteristic for the Crimea). From the negative: 1. Almost non-working Wi-Fi (an exception in the early morning, when everyone is apparently asleep) 2. The absence of the OWNER throughout the hotel: almost all the sun loungers are cracked, minor repairs are required everywhere, in some places the tiles fell off in the pool, in the bathroom at night there is a terrible smell of sewerage, a leaking watering can in the shower was never replaced (they are clearly in short supply in the Crimea), a huge sunbed by the pool with pillows for some reason without a roof, etc. 3. Terrible inedible food: all food is prepared from obviously stale products, especially this applies to meatballs, cutlets, meat casseroles, etc. I myself am a food production technologist and I declare with full confidence: such an amount of pepper in food can either explain the lack of taste buds and brains in cooks, or low-quality and stale products (perhaps both options are suitable). It remains only to learn from the chefs working there 10 ways to spoil the dish - these are overcooked scrambled eggs, burnt cheesecakes, pancakes dry from overcooking, lazy cabbage rolls that look like coals, borscht without beets, and so on. The service staff, who bring and order food, not embarrassed by the hotel guests and their children, swear like shoemakers among themselves, serve for a long time, even though there are a lot of them, replace the dish without agreement and then brazenly lie that it was not noted on the menu. Instead of a baked chicken thigh, they bring a baked soup set. Tea and coffee, judging by the taste and smell, are brewed in tap water, it is not surprising that we also got poisoned there, rinsed for 2 days. For all the days there was not a single fruit, not even a single cut watermelon, and dairy products were presented in the form of condensed milk on pancakes and ice cream in a refrigerator that stank of fish. This is a SHAME for hotel service and a terrible waste of money on this cheap gruel. My advice to all tourists: if it’s hard to bring you there, take a room without food, and save more, because you still have to buy normal food in local markets. My advice to the owners of the hotel: fire all this shantrop, who are called waiters, feed the cooks with their own “delicious” food (or rather, give them a salary in their grubs), make a normal distribution and put the kitchen in order at least in accordance with SANPIN, so that people are sure that their dinner is not made from the leftovers of lunch!
