Computers and modern gadgets

Hello dear radio amateurs, guests site. I present to your attention an article on how it is made do-it-yourself phone speaker. The simplest version is described here, which uses a minimum of details and maintains good sound quality. You can connect a phone, mp3 player, laptop, etc. to this speaker.

The figure on the left shows a page diagram of a low (audio) frequency amplifier ULF performed on a 2-channel, stereophonic microchip TDA7050, included in the bridge circuit, i.e. the output signal is taken by one speaker from 2 channels simultaneously, hence the increased output power of the amplifier. principled email scheme amplifier available for download free video tutorial.

The main feature of the microcircuit used is efficiency and low-voltage power, minimal, note 1.6V; maximum - 6V, i.e. one 3.7V phone battery is more than enough (instead of a whole package of as many as 3 pieces in the case of TDA2003 and the like, where U power is 12V. And how to charge? Each in turn or assemble a 12V charger).

It's a completely different matter - I connected the speaker to the phone from which the battery was removed, and let it charge, and the battery level is always visible on the display!

The circuit is soldered by surface mounting - the easiest and fastest way without making a printed circuit board. But there is also a minus that reduces the reliability of the device, namely, if one wire from the speaker is soldered to the 6th and 7th legs of the MS (see diagram), then several wires are soldered to the 4th or 5th leg plus the signal wire screen. This is the difficulty: you solder the next one - the previous one is soldered off. If you assemble the wires into a twist and solder to one leg, then a short circuit to the neighboring ones is possible. In addition, due to the thickness of the twist, the thin leg of the MS cannot withstand the rigidity of the twist and bends at the slightest inclination, as a result, a short circuit is possible. See how to avoid this. The video tutorial shows in what sequence to assemble. In general, the ideal option is to solder one wire to each leg of the MS.

used in construction chip TDA7050(in a DIP-8 package) does not require installation on a heat sink, this is very important for portable speaker. After all, the heat sink is a rather large part, and the space in the case is limited. And yes, you have to mount it somehow.

A few words about power. Even an average volume is quite enough for individual listening, and if you turn on the speaker at full volume, then the music and lyrics are clearly audible on the street within a radius of 8-10 meters even in windy weather, see video. Evaluate the operation of the column in the field, its volume, sound quality, ease of use, portability. This is especially true for children who are fond of sports, lovers of cycling and outdoor activities.

The microcircuit (MC) is also available in a more compact form: SOP-8 package type. The key, relative to which the legs are counted, is a point on the body near the 1st pin or a chamfer along one of the sides. If you look closely, you can see it. It is very difficult to work with MS in this design due to its small size. The load on the eyes is quite sensitive, and experience and precise movements of the soldering iron are also required. I strongly advise beginner radio amateurs not to use the MS in the SOP-8 package, besides, it warmed up noticeably during operation - I had to make a heat sink from an aluminum sleeve from the electrolytic capacitor and glue it with a drop of glue to the MS. Photos posted to inform you that this option is also possible. It's not worth repeating. Extra difficulties are useless.

speaker- small-sized, coil resistance or impedance 8 Ohm, 1W, 1GDSH-9; 8 Ohm, 2W, 0.5GDSH-2; 8 Ohm, 3W, 1GDSH-6; broadband 8 ohm, 3W, 3GDSh-7 or Chinese equivalent 8 ohm, 3W, YD103-04; in extreme cases, a rectangular 4 ohm, 3W from Genius computer speakers. It is the speaker that determines the dimensions of the future speaker, it should be compact, lightweight, easy to use, simply attached to a belt or belt.

The body is best made do it yourself. I decided to make it out of 3mm plywood and varnish it. In the manufacture of the body used desktop woodworking machine. mini circular. You can solder anything and anything, but the finished look of the design still gives an aesthetic case, the details of which are made on a machine tool, and not manually with a jigsaw or a hacksaw. Though... it is possible also manually for a start.

Resistor- R1 adjusting. Used to change the volume and turn off the power supply. It is advisable to use small-sized resistors, such as SPZ-3 or SPZ-4vM from 10 kOhm to 47 kOhm. SPZ-3 with a switch (one pair of contacts) requires installation on the board. Time-consuming, but worth it: the board can accommodate an input isolation capacitor C1, a mini-connector for connecting the battery, a smoothing power supply capacitor, low-pass filter parts, an LED limiting resistor, the ULF chip itself, etc. Over time, as a rule, there is a desire to improve and supplement the design with new features. Resistors type SPZ-4vM with a switch (two pairs of contacts) and are fastened with a nut into the housing hole. It's much easier. However, the overall dimensions are larger, and the handle will protrude beyond the column. You can do without an adjusting resistor, then the volume will have to be changed in the mp3 player or in the phone.

As for the battery, I will note the following: it will fit almost any old mobile phone. I used the MOTOROLA C350, which is also a charger after some minor modifications.

Battery capacity 800 mA / h (the higher this figure, the longer the time of the amplifier). One charge of the speaker accounts for 3-4 charges of an mp3 player of this model.

The battery is connected with a micro connector. You can make it yourself. It turns out an extremely strong, reliable miniature connection. It is made from components of widely used connectors. A special feature is that the externally detachable connection looks like a solid wire with virtually no thickening. The heat shrink tube additionally squeezes the contacts (one inside the other). It takes a lot of force to open. You can see the principle of operation of the connectors. The video tutorial shows how to use them when connecting the speaker and the battery. Such connectors can be successfully used in any electronic equipment.

Hello dear readers of my blog, this time the article will not be entirely in the subject of the site, but still quite useful. Now I will tell you about how you can make your own speakers for your phone or just portable speakers. There are times when you need to organize music, say, in nature, naturally you will not find sockets for 220v, of course, if you have not brought a diesel generator with you. Personally, I needed to make such a modification of the columns in order to take them with me to the horizontal bars. I used to order portable acoustics for myself on the Internet, in general I liked it, but it already seems that it doesn’t play enough. My purchased speaker was the divoom i-tour 20, which I talked about.

In general, the device is good, the volume is very strong, despite its small size. But now let's move on to creating something more powerful.

What you need for work:

And so here is a photo of what I used, now we will look at each element of the photo in detail.

1. Screwdriver. I think you will find such an instrument in your home, because I cannot imagine life when there is no instrument at home. Therefore, with the search for this item, you simply should not have problems.

2. Battery. Well, here you can already use any, the main condition is the voltage in it 12v. This is where the question should arise, since I have been looking for one for a long time, I even had thoughts of buying a car. But everything is much simpler. This is an uninterruptible power supply battery. They are used for computers in case the current in the outlet is gone. You can find it in computer stores. But I was too lazy, I ordered through an online store, where everything is for computers. My battery is 12v, its capacity is 9Ah. If money allows, you can take with a larger capacity.

3. wires. As you can see, I have a double one, so look for the same one, or take two single ones. But I would like to note that I have a thin wire in my wire, it is better to take a thicker one, since this one may not withstand it.

4. speakers. The most common computer speakers that can be found in any computer store. I have had them lying around in a box for many years, so I decided to find a use for them. Well, the main thing here is to take not very powerful ones, since the electricity in the battery is not rubber, so take the speakers that your battery will pull. Personally, after opening, 3 W are written on the speakers, that is, the total power is 6 W. In principle, this is enough.

5. wire cutters. In the process of alteration, it will be necessary to cut the wires a little, so wire cutters are needed, not to gnaw iron with your teeth. Such a tool may not be as common as a screwdriver, but still. If it is very tight, then you can cut it off with a knife, the wires are thin there.

Well, in addition to this, you will need a little care so that you do not accidentally cut the wrong wires. In general, now you can proceed to the work itself.

Create speakers for the phone:

If you have prepared everything you need, then let's make speakers for the phone. For starters, we only need a column with a switch, since it is in it that the transformer is located. And we don’t need the second one at all, so if the connector is disconnected, remove it. And put the main speaker on the table.

If you have a front part covered by some kind of panel, then it is better to remove it, because under it there may be screws hidden that hold the column closed. But do not break off if it does not go. You may have another case where all the screws are on the back side.

After you find all the fasteners, unscrew the screws and open the column, but only carefully, in my case it did not open too much, the wires inside may be short. In this picture, I slightly opened, the next one will show how much maximum it opened.

As you can see, it did not open very wide, so it was difficult to photograph the inside of the column. But you can see how in the center there is a whole bunch of wires. We are only interested in the number 1.

1. Transformer. It converts the current from 220v to 12v, that's exactly what we need to connect after it, it will just be what we need. In my case, blue wires came from it, and all the rest in the case were black.

So the column opened wider when I cut the wires from the transformer, in this picture I marked it with the letter T. I recommend cutting the wires in the middle, all of a sudden you ever decide to remake the column back, then at least you can twist the wires, I personally did it. The wires coming from the transformer are best insulated with electrical tape. And let them stick out from the board for now.

Next, we prepare the wires with which we will connect the battery. It is necessary to cut off the insulation and then connect it first to the speaker, and then to the battery, just be careful not to close the terminals with your fingers, because then there will be a loud mat for the whole house. Well, in principle, that's all, but do not close, check first for performance. By the way, it is not necessary to observe the polarity, even if you do the opposite, the speaker will play just inside the case and the sound will be a little quieter. And if you guess, it will be generally gorgeous.

And now we carefully turn it on and voila, the column has earned. Next, isolate the joints inside the case and you can twist and assemble.

By the way, the photo does not show what works, so I turned off the flash, only the quality became bad, I am writing an article at night with no lighting.

Done, you can clamp the wire with a lid with a speaker, it should not break, well, or twist this edge a little looser. Now your task will be to constantly charge the battery. If you take everything with the same parameters as mine, then 10 hours of work should be enough.

By the way, my wires that I pulled to the battery were in a varnish winding, I could not clean it with a knife, so I just set fire to the wire. Well, good luck everyone, I hope it helped.

Updated (10/05/2013 at 19:45).

Still, I decided to continue the article a little, photography at home is certainly good, but there is always a risk that you can be deceived. This is not my goal, so I decided to post another photo where the speakers work, but this time on the street. The idea to take a photo came quite spontaneously. As usual, I was going to go to train, went outside, came to the horizontal bars near the house, worked out, went to the uneven bars and decided to turn on the music. And just in between approaches, this idea came to me. Therefore, here is another photo confirmation that everything is described correctly in the article and what I advise really works.

As you can see, there is not even a leaflet with copyright, as in the previous photos. That's the only thing, I want to apologize, I took pictures on the phone, but it was already dark outside, so the quality leaves much to be desired. Now the article is finished.

One of the most important features of modern smartphones is their ability to play various sounds. This allows you to view media files, turn on music or enjoy your favorite series by downloading it from the Internet in excellent quality. But sometimes the power of the phone's speakers is not enough and you may need to connect an additional accessory - speakers.

You should not immediately go to the store for an expensive purchase, especially if you need a column for one or more times. It is quite possible to do it yourself, because this does not require special skills and deep knowledge in the field of technology. You will learn about what you can make a column from and what methods exist for this in this article.

How to make a speaker for a phone from a speaker for a PC or tape recorder

The first way is a kind of reincarnation of a speaker for a computer or tape recorder into a portable one for a phone. The advantage of such accessories is that they do not need to be plugged into a power outlet - which is why the phone often requires a separate, portable device. It is convenient to carry it with you, take it on trips or just use it at home if you are far from a power source.

In this case, we take as a basis a device designed for a computer. Even the simplest will do, and it is all the more desirable if you have never done something like this before - the fewer parts inside, the easier it is to create a new unit.

First of all, you need to disassemble the accessory and unsolder the mains transformer and power wire. After that, it is necessary to mount a special charge controller in the “sole” - it can be purchased at any specialized store.

IMPORTANT! Be as careful as possible so as not to cause any harm to the tracks - this will adversely affect the final result of the work.

You can glue the board using adhesive tape or special glue. After that, you need to get rid of the diodes - usually there are four of them, but a lot depends on the model of your original speakers. Power from the board should be soldered to the plus and minus of the diode bridge. Then you need to attach the circuit with a canopy on the wires to check the correct operation of the resulting device.

You also need to make a hole in the sole directly opposite the controller indication. Thus, you can monitor the level of charge.

ATTENTION! Charging such speakers is quite simple - using any USB output.

If the power is not enough, you can add more batteries. Portable speakers are ready!

Homemade column made of polypropylene pipe

Another method may be to use a polypropylene pipe as the basis.

To do this, you need to make a hole in the middle that resembles the number eight and get rid of the protruding elements that form in this case. Now you need to solder the battery and speaker to the board. After that, a piece of aluminum foil or electrical tape should be glued to a fairly dense film - the choice is yours, any of these materials will surely be found at home for everyone.

Then you need to cut a circle with a diameter equal to the pipe and attach it with a resistant glue. This part of the future column is called a diffuser.

The next step will be the mandatory sealing of all contacts. Next, having connected all the details, you need to wind the speaker to the pipe with electrical tape. Now you need to strengthen everything with glue and conduct a complete inspection of the resulting product.

After finishing work, be sure to check the performance of the device. If everything is in order, then you can safely start using it.

Do-it-yourself cardboard column for the phone

A column for your smartphone can also be made of cardboard, no matter how unsuitable this material may seem for such an undertaking.

A great option would be a toilet paper sleeve so that you don’t have to make a cardboard cylinder yourself.

The first step is to measure the side of the phone on which the speaker is located. Then make a hole in the sleeve exactly the same size. On the sides you need to attach two plastic cups - these will be sound guides that will allow you to achieve better amplification.

In order for the cups to fit snugly on the cardboard, first carefully measure the size and cut a hole to the nearest centimeter.

IMPORTANT! If desired, you can use other cardboard objects of a suitable elongated shape or make a cylinder yourself. Cardboard in this case should be dense and durable.

After all the components have been fixed, the column is ready. It remains only to insert the phone into the resulting product and turn on the desired audio track.

Speaker in plywood case

Another simple way would be to make a device using plywood. To do this, you must first determine the dimensions of the speakers and find a table of correspondence between speakers and speakers. All this information is easy to find on the Internet on thematic sites and forums.

Now you should calculate the dimensions of the future column. Mark the sheet of plywood, on the front side there should be a drawing of the speakers. Now you can cut the parts out of plywood, and then process them with sandpaper - the surface should be even and smooth, without protruding notches.

Parts can be connected with a self-tapping screw. Mandatory sealing homemade device. Then you need to treat the surface with paint for a more aesthetic appearance. The connecting wire is screwed to the desired connector, and on the other hand, it is wound behind the back of the speaker and soldered to the speaker terminals. Pay attention to polarity.

The next step is to attach the speakers to the speaker cabinet. The loose cable stays inside. Accessory is ready!

Now you know several ways to make a speaker for your phone at once. Thus, you can significantly save on the purchase of this accessory and enjoy listening to music or watching movies at the right volume and in excellent quality. In addition, the manufacturing process will not take much time, and you will not need to purchase a large amount of additional materials.

Speakers for phones are not very expensive, but it is much more interesting to make them yourself. The whole thing will cost a lot less. This video tutorial will show how to create an original speaker, which will be made of a polypropylene pipe with a diameter of 50 mm. This speaker needs an amplifier, it can be done according to the diagram shown. And you can buy ready-made speakers in this Chinese store.

What else is needed besides the specified pipe?

Speaker with a diameter of 55 mm. Preferably 1 watt. At first glance, it may not seem like it will fit, but when you look at the entire pipe, you will notice a connecting node with a larger diameter - 60 mm. So that the pipe will fit perfectly in size.

You can see the O-ring inside, the speaker will be installed right inside the pipe, it will fit snugly against its walls.

Step by step actions.

The first thing we need to do is cut off the polypropylene pipe as it is too long. We will not cut it much, we will leave such a piece for tying the crown connector. We do this with a grinder. Then you must clean the pipe, we must get the workpiece, as shown in the video. Let's put a regular CD or DVD disc, put a polypropylene pipe on the table in the center of the disc and circle it with a marker.

Now take the scissors and cut out the disk. After we have cut out the disk, we adjust our workpiece from the pipe to the size of the speaker. To do this, again it is convenient to use a drill. With the help of sandpaper, we clean the place of the cut.

Before installing the speaker, we will have to drill a small hole for the switch. We take a screwdriver with a nozzle and make a small hole on the top.

We pass the wires through the hole and connect to the switch. We insert all the contents and press the speaker. We take out the wire from the crown and the mini-jack. Next, we need to glue the connector from the crown with hot glue and also fix the 3.5 mm mini-jack wire, after which we insert part of the disk. As you can see, we didn't drill a hole for airflow into the speaker, but there is a hole into the disk. We make a small cut for the wires. We glue everything with hot glue.

We proceed to processing - cleaning from unnecessary parts, skinning and grinding.

The mini speaker is ready! You can see that everything is sanded correctly. It is desirable to glue a fine metal mesh on the front part for beauty. If you want, you can paint the speakers black, which will hide the parts that make up it, as well as the CD.

Now you can check the column in operation. Insert a nine-volt battery, then insert the mini-jack, turn on the speaker.

Great job, at minimal cost, the column looks quite unusual and creative, especially if you make some changes to its appearance, which are mentioned above.
